Nobody who’s actually good at manipulation is known for being good at manipulation.

A truly excellent manipulator is subtle enough that people aren’t even aware they’re being manipulated.

Based on the fact that Curufin is know far and wide for being a sneak, but Maedhros manages some fairly impressive feats of diplomacy and garners our sympathy despite participating in no less than three kinslayings, I postulate that Maedhros isn’t actually less manipulative and sneaky than Curufin. He’s just much better at what he does.

And it’s not fitting easily through the door.

Tyelko and Moryo are grunting with their brute strength to get the damn thing in the doorway, while occasionally swearing at Nelyo and Curvo; who have decided that their strengths are in supervising and bossing everyone around. Ambarussa are calling out contradictory directions which gets the appliance MORE stuck, while Kano is apologising profusely to the delivery people who had their task hijacked.

I headcanon that when he was a toddler, Atarinkë had a phase during which he only accepted Fëanáro’s arms

Atarinkë, Nolaheri and Tyelperinquar, at the fortress in the path of Aglon

Nolaheri was Atarinke’s first friend, they wedded during first age (in my version, Tyelperinquar was born at beginning of first age, after Fëanor’s death). But they met during Years of Trees.

Nolaheri was Valandil’s daughter, one of Fëanáro’s closest friends, renamed Auquermo in the exile. Valandil was an apprentice of Mahtan, where he met Fëanáro in their youth, and his parents were faithful disciples of Aulë. Nolaheri also was a craft woman as well.

They both remained faithful to the House of Fëanor, and followed Fëanáro to Formenos. In Endórë, Auquermo fell, defending Fëanáro during the Dagor-nuin-Giliath.

Fëanor Lives AU: In this version, Auquermo saved Fëanáro from the battle of Dagor nuin Giliath (where he lose one of his eyes). Nolaheri and Atarinkë simply remained friends. Atarinkë never wedded neither had any children.

Context: In Endórë, before preparing for the Mereth Aderthad celebrations, Atarinkë look through the mirror, but instead of himself, he see Fëanáro.

This scenery has been imagined after a music.

This is a re-draw, of an ancient piece that I already did several times, but, I wasn’t satisfied with the result. Hopefully, this one will be fine, and I won’t have to rework on it. Yet, art is never an end in itself, after all, and once an idea is settled, it can be re-done infinitely.

Finrod frowned in wonderment. “Is that- is that the baby?”

“Indeed!” Erion bent fully into a crouch and smiled, full of teeth, which always discomfited Finrod greatly. He stroked his chin and gave him a look before focusing back on Curufin. “They have power, but I do not know how much they will be able to do. You are really their blood father, after all. I only enabled their existence.”

“You must count in part as a parent,” Finrod protested half-heartedly. They all knew that Curufin was not going to consider Erion the babe’s father, but he felt indebted to the Maia for agreeing to the insane request. A little pandering never went awry.

Happy@aspecardaweek 2022 everyone! Elmo is totally aroace and Curufin is somewhere on the aroace spectrum. Gandalf is probably as well but I haven’t thought about it lol

Fëanorians ranked from most to least likely to survive the Purge.

Maglor: 11/10. Would just emerge from his room after a week-long composition binge to find out that the Purge ended already, not even aware that it happened.

Caranthir: 9/10: Would probs be like Maglor and never even notice the Purge because he barely goes outside, but would probably go to his neighbors to yell about the racket and get caught up in it.

Maedhros: 8/10: Would hack his way through anybody who tried to get at his front door, his fatal mistake is that he steps outside to begin with. Tactical brain may still save his life tho not without injuries.

Amrod and Amras: 5/10: Somewhere in the middle because they’re in the woods somewhere, excellent cover for you…but also excellent cover for every other whack job.

Curufin: -5901/10 He and Celegorm share one brain cell and he has Daddy’s temper, ‘nuff said. Only reason he’d survive slightly longer than Celegorm is because he’s more of a prideful dick than a hack and slash dick.

Celegorm: -5900/10: Gets VERY involved, tries to rob every bank and stir up as much shit as he can, stays strapped but doesn’t know when to quit, lasts longer than most but still dies.

Fëanor: -1,000,000/10: Immediately goes over to try to fight everyone he doesn’t like, dies within an hour.

Celebrimbor: - ♾/10: Is way too trusting, tries to help a “victim” that’s fleeing from an ax murderer. Turns out said “victim” IS an ax murderer and he dies in like 30 minutes.

• Despite the emphasis Curufin places on being composed and keeping up appearances, there are times when he’s anything but that
• For the most part, it’s the complete control and trust you place in him that turns Curufin on the most. He loves how you’ve given yourself over so completely 
• Adding to that, he likes being the one to do most of the work, putting the muscles he’s developed over years in the forge to good use
• His grip is usually tight, not enough to hurt you but enough to keep you from squirming as he pounds into you or lifts you up and down on his cock
• That isn’t to say he doesn’t like giving the control over to you every once in a while, although this isn’t done nearly as often
• Curufin appreciates the trust you place in him, but finds it difficult to let go in the same way. There are times when it’ll get him embarrassed, as does being overly affectionate,  and he reacts with anger and defensiveness
• Instead, Curufin prefers to be wrestled into submission, partly to save face. It might seem like he’s unwilling, but before hand he assures you that he is (His safeword is probably Finrod or something like that)
• Hair pulling is a big hit with him, both having his own hair pulled and pulling yours. It’s not about causing pain, it’s more about control and being able to maneuver his partner exactly as he wants 
•  As well as that, Curufin is a possessive fucker and enjoys leaving marks on you. For the most part though, he’ll do them in places that can be easily concealed
• It’s like a dirty little secret between the two of you, the slight pain as you go about your day a pleasant reminder of the night before 
• He doesn’t mind if you leave your own marks on him and finds the sensation of having his back scratched up to be actually quite pleasant 
• Curufin isn’t particularly loud, the most you’ll hear from him is a small moan or grunt if you clench just right
• He knows he’s good with words so dirty talk comes pretty naturally. It’ll be soft, whispered against your skin despite the harshness in what he’s saying 
• You’re pretty sure if he had you just right, on the edge, and asked you to kill someone in that lovely voice of his, you’d agree to it without a second thought

• Height has never really been that important for Curufin and it’s not something that often comes into play in your relationship
• He’s got no issues dating someone taller than him - he grew up with giants for brothers so he’s used to it 
• Don’t confuse who’s in charge here. Just because you’re taller than Curufin, that doesn’t mean you’re the one in control
• He’s more than strong enough to manhandle you, whatever your height - although it can be quite comical when he picks you up
• “Why are your limbs so long? It shouldn’t be allowed”
• Curufin doesn’t mind jokes about his height when it comes to close family members, as long as they don’t cross any boundaries. There’s nothing wrong with good-natured teasing
• But when the jokes come from other people, either regarding his short stature or you being strangely tall, Curufin doesn’t put up with any bullshit
• He’ll happily threaten people in public if he needs to, going out of his way to make their life miserable for teasing you
• Curufin loves seeing you in heels, even if it makes the height difference even bigger. He just loves how long and beautiful your legs are
• And what he loves almost as much is seeing the longing looks other people give you when you wear them - knowing he’s the only one that gets to take you home at the end of the evening
