It was exactly 2:27am in the morning when Levi burst into tears. Of course, this was to be expected - when you had introduced Levi to one of your favorite human animes, “Help! My Dog ActuallyAte My Homework, And Now My Demon Teacher Is Out To Murder Me!”, and it only took about ten minutes of the first episode for him to get absolutely hooked. This was an anime you’ve already seen before - so naturally, you were already aware of every twist and turn that it had to offer - Levi, however, was completely left in the dark. The two of you had been bingeing it for the last few weeks, even well into the late night.
It was exactly 2:27am when Levi’s favorite heroine, Akito-san, bit the dust, and about half a second later, Levi began wailing like it was youwho had bit the dust.
Were you slightly twisted for anticipating this moment, since you already knew this was going to happen? Maybe. But it’s not like you could fix what’s already been done.
“NOOOOOOOOO! AKITO-SAN, WHY???????” Levi screamed, literally screamed. Damn to hell the embarrassment of getting so worked up over an anime in front of you of all people - because this is some serious shit! I mean, how could Akito-chan sacrifice herself to the Demon Teacher without a second thought like that, huh?!
Levi hugged his knees to his chest and watched the aftermath of her death unfold like it was the worst thing in his thousands of years alive that he’s ever witnessed. And it was oh so hard to hold back the smile forming at your lips, but at the same time, it really did crush you to see Levi so heartbroken.
“Oh, Levi,” you cooed, reaching out and rubbing his back in a calm and soothing manner. “You knew it was coming, didn’t you? They foreshadowed the hell out of that in the end, you know.”
“B-B-BUT…” Levi sniffled, his voice muffled through the sound of his tears and from his head being pressed into his knees. “I-It was… so obvious, that I didn’t think t-that they could ACTUALLY kill Miss Akito-chan! I-I…”
Queue even moreblabbering.
“Oh, MC… I can’t take it!” Levi’s next actions were almost so sudden that it caused you to jump, but what followed made you melt. Levi buried his head into your neck and continued to cry, dampening your shirt in the process, but you didn’t care. “How am I supposed to go on, huh?!”
You sighed, almost cringing at the thought of what you had to say next, but you knew it was what Levi would want to hear in these trying times. “Levi… honey… Akito-chan would wantyou to continue carrying on. She was the one who helped everyone accomplish their goals, and in the end, her sacrifice was so that everyone else’s fight could continue, right?”
“MC!” Levi hiccuped, considering your words. At that, he nuzzled deeper into your shoulder. “I… I suppose, but I still… *sniff*… don’t like it.”
“I know, honey,” you smiled, kissing the top of his head. Levi couldn’t help but be thankful that you didn’t see his blush just then, even as he continued to cry. “Just let it all out.”
As Levi began to cry, mourning the death of his second favorite anime heroine (because let’s face it, absolutely nobodycompares to Ruri-chan), feeling protected and comforted as he cried into your neck… an incredibly pissed off and already sleep-deprived enough Lucifer, who was woken up by Levi’s blood-curdling scream, was making a beeline right for his room.
Soon enough, the otaku would have a whole other reason to cry.

Everything is organised and has its place and when it isn’t in that certain place he gets annoyed and has to put it back
For every piece of furniture there are markings on the floor for where their place is
If you want food and Lucifer is at home he’s making good home made food with a 90% chance because he doesn’t like fast food and knows self made food is healthier
One of his favorite things to do when he has free time is cuddle with you on the couch and watch crime shows while you two argue over who the murderer is (Most of the time Lucifer is right)
You two absolutely have a dog probably a german shepherd
Mammon
Everything is messy and you can’t deny it
There’s money laying around all over the house and only who knows where it is somehow
If you don’t cook he’ll probably only order takeout but if it’s a special evening and he wants to surprise you he tries to make food himself ( He tries his best )
This guy can’t cook but he’s one of the best at mixing cocktails so you always have different types of alcohol at home
One of his favorite things to do in his freetime is spending a whole evening with playing card and board games and he’s very good at it
You two probably have a golden retriever
Leviathan
He’s probably a twitch streamer who plays video games so you have nearly every gaming console you can think of so you hardly can get bored
You two also probably order takeout many times ( sushi or something fish like most of the time )
You have common lights in your house but you never use them let’s be honest most of the time you only have LEDs on so that it isn’t that bright in the house
One of his favorite things to do in his freetime are doing all nighters playinv video games/watching anime with you or having you play with him while he streams
You have many fish tanks around the house and definitely a snake
Satan
You know how is room looks so you already know how the house looks: Books everywhere
If you don’t stop him from doing it there’re probably gonna be many cats lying around the house ( most of them are stray cats )
Cat hair everywhere
The house is always pretty warm and he also likes to keep the light dim and has scented candles around the house
There’s always some music on when you’re at home (probably lofi or classic)
One of his favorite things to do is cuddle with you in your bed and read books while cats are littered around you two
(He also definitely has one of those big arm chairs in which he likes to sit with you on his lap)
Asmodeus
Your house looks so fucking good like everything just lookes like it’s chosen by an interior designer
In every room there’re at least two big plants and one flower plant because plants always look good and are easy to care for if you know how to
The biggest and most comfortable bed you’ve ever seen/felt and let’s be real it’s so comfortable that you literally never want to get up
And also you have a large bathroom with a really big shower and bathtub because yes
At first he pretty much was against lets because they’re dirty but you managed to convince him to get a white rabbit
He loves it when the two of you take a bubble bath together with some music and scented candles while you two do who knows what
Beelzebub
Your house is pretty organised most of the time actually
Most of the time he likes to cook because it’s better for your health instead of ordering fastfood ( But sometimes he just can’t resist getting some )
One of his favorite things to do is bake something with you because it connects two of his most loved things: You and food
He also likes to go jogging with you and the doggs early in the morning and watch the sunrise together
The temperature in your house is more on the warmer side and you have a fireplace for the winter
You have two huskies and a cat and they understand eachother pretty well
Belphegor
Pillows,blankets and clothes everywhere on the floor
Sometimes you will literally walk around the house and nearly accidentally step on him because he was asleep on the floor under a few blankets and pillows
Where you fall asleep together always depends; sometimes it’s the couch sometimes the bed and sometimes even the floor
The light is also pretty dim most of the time because it’s hard to fall asleep with the lights on
One of his favorite things to do is cuddle with you literally anywhere while the two of you watch a random show

Diavolo
The house isn’t that organised but you’re able to walk through it without nearly falling every 5 seconds so it’s alright
You two literally just buy what you find interesting so the furniture is completely random chosen and isn’t organised at all
With food everything is pretty chill 1/3 you cook 1/3 he cooks and 1/3 you two order take out
The temperature is more on the cooler side but only in summer and spring in winter and fall it’s warm
One of his favorite things to do with you is building pillow forts and watch a show afterwards and you can fight me on that
I don’t know why but you have a hedgehog like i don’t know why or another exotic pet
Barbatos
The house is pretty organised but he’s not going to be mad at you if you accidentally forget to put something back to where it was before
The house is also more on the cooler side so make sure to get yourself some warm hoodies but don’t worry if he notices you’re cold he will make sure the house gets warm
Most of the time he cooks but he’s also not against you cooking (and if you don’t know how to cook he teaches you if you want to)
One of his favorite things to do is in fall sitting outside early in the morning with a blanket wrapped around you watching the sunrise while there’s still mist hanging in the trees
You two have a crow yes a crow i also don’t know why
Simeon
The house is pretty organised and there’re a lit of windows so that a lot of light can come in
The temperature is also on the warmer side most of the time because it’s comfortable
He loves to cook together with you so you don’t end up arguing over who is going to cook today ( and he also loves to bake with you )
You two always make sure to do am equal amount of chores to make it fair
One of his favorite things to do it bake cookies with you on a winter morning and afterwards eat them with you infront of the fireplace
You definitely at some point got a pet bird because when he saw you looking at it excitedly he couldn’t refuse
Solomon
So i don’t know what to say about this so the house is pretty organised because he uses magic to keep it clean but there’s literally weird things laying all around the house: jars, herbs, candles etc.
Most of the time he let’s his magic do the cooking but when he wants to surprise you he cooks himself
The aesthetic of the house is also more on the darker side (doesn’t mean that it’s all one aesthetic tho) and there’s plants like everywhere because he needs them for his spells
One of his favorite things to do with you is laying on the roof with a blanket and a few pillows at nights while he tells you things about the stars and the stuff he has seen

A/N: this prologue contains quite a few interactions with my MCs CloverandViolet, but they won´t make an appearance in every story.
Devildom was a truly weird place.
The land of the demons knew no sun, no seasons, did not know about many things that were common in the other two realms.
As demons, the citizens tend to be more reckless, more daring as well as more willing to cut your throat if you give them one wrong look.
So maybe, this place was not meant to harbour any warmth to begin with.
But since several months, the Devildom was being visited by five exchange students:
Two angels, and three human beings.
And since then, some things have slowly started to change, or will soon be about to. This was caused by the mere fact that a certain prince found a big liking in the foreign cultures, especially in everything that humans did.
Whether it was establishing new cuisine on his favourite restaurants’ menus, or celebrating festivities that nobody has ever heard of, the Devildom’s prince would not halt to show his likings in their cultures.
And thusly, again, on a cold wintery day, the prince would find himself amazed by yet another of humanities dearest traditions.
Two of the human exchange students, Violet and Clover, were visiting prince Diavolo at his castle to celebrate that they survived another month in the Devildom without getting eaten by some lower demon.
This day, in the last week of November, the first snowflakes were softly swaying in the wind, piling up in gentle little blankets of pure white.
And while Diavolo was having a heated conversation with Violet, Clover was staring out of the window, feeling this little sting called homesickness in her chest.
“… And because Lucifer had fallen asleep at his desk, Mammon and Satan took the chance to sneak inside, trying to not only take a picture of him, but they also wanted to put a voice modifier potion in his coffee!” Diavolo narrated in great amusement.
However, the demon lord’s butler, Barbatos, seemed to have noticed Clover’s averted gaze, as well as her slightly saddened expression.
So, having stood a bit aside the table, he took a step forward to gain her attention.
“Is there something ailing you, Clover?”
Now that the girl was meeting his worried expression, her first impulse was to simply shake it off and put on a smile. But as the other two gave her the same look, she gave a little sigh.
“Hey, uhm…” Clover mumbled, “Lord Diavolo, do you guys celebrate Christmas?” She saw how his eyes grew wider, and feared she might have said something stupid. “I-I mean, you probably don’t, since it’s a Christian tradition and you and church are probably SO not close, but, uhm, it’s December and it’s snowing and I love Christmas, so I… felt a little sad as we probably won’t be celebrating it this year, but… ah, uh… N-nevermind I said anything, this is probably really stupid…”
The demon prince kept his expression, but now Clover noticed the sparkle of excitement in his eyes.
“What is Christmas?” he asked.
“It’s a holiday we celebrate on the 24th of December” Violet explained. “Originally, people celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, but a lot of families that aren’t Christian are celebrating it nowadays as well. It’s an occasion to get together with your family, and you eat, exchange presents, things like that.”
And so, the girls spend about an hour telling Diavolo everything they knew about Christmas. From the Christmas tree, to Christmas markets to whatever llittle tradition they knew of.
At some point, the girls were reminiscing about their old school days.
“Remember when we did a secret Santa event among our group of friends?” Clover smiled. “You gave me that cool jacket one time!”
“Oh, yeah, I remember!” Violet returned the grin.
Diavolo tilted his head.
“Secret Santa?” he repeated. “I thought that nice man named Santa was the one giving out the presents to children. Is there a secret second Santa that I need to know of?”
The girls gave a little laugh.
“Ah, no, it means we gave each other presents without the recieving person knowing who the present was from. Well, at least right before recieving the present” Violet tried to explain.
Barbatos gave a content nod, having listened in to their stories as well.
“I see…” The butler mumbled. “You were pretending to be Mr. Claus in order to give out presents in secret. But why is the secretiveness a necessity when Mr. Claus is giving out presents on Christmas either way?”
The girls exchanged a glance, slowly regretting that they told the two of them about Santa Claus. They wanted to make a joke and pretend like he exists, but somehow, both, Diavolo and Barbatos, seemed to not have heard the “we TELL the children it’s Santa Claus” - part…
It took some time, in which the demons proceeded to think Santa was real, to explain how a secret Santa project worked.
But once they had finished, Diavolo’s eyes had reached the maximum excitement they could bear.
Rising from his seat, it felt like a little child was beaming a smile at them.
“I want to do a secret Santa!!”
— the next day in the student council room —
“A… What? Diavolo, what are you talking about?”
“Lucifer, don’t tell me you don’t know what a secret Santa is?!” Diavolo gasped in surprise. “It’s a crucial part of Humanity’s Christmas tradition!”
Violet and Clover were hiding their grins. The whole student council of RAD, as well as all the exchange students were called into an emergency meeting by Diavolo. Barbatos had whispered them that, after their visit, the prince had kept talking about Christmas for hours, and now he was about to convince everyone to celebrate it this year.
“We will organise a big poll, and every student of RAD will secretly pick another student that he will then be a secret Santa to. It will be amazing, and a cultural enrichment for us all!” Diavolo kept going after the three humans had given the demons a short explanation of what Christmas is.
“Lord Diavolo, I appreciate the thought… But are you sure it is possible to make the whole school engage in your plan?” Simeon softly chimed in.
“I have to agree” Satan nodded. “I also fear some demons might have difficulties with celebrating a Christian holiday.”
Asmodeus shot Satan a teasing glare from across the room.
“You mean YOU are mad because we’re going to celebrate the birth of that one kid who made trillions of people hate you, huh Satan?”
“Asmo, stop mocking your brother” Lucifer scolded the avatar of lust next to him. However, the oldest then pulled a concerned expression of his own. “However, I must agree, Diavolo. I respect your ideas, but you are trying to work on a scale too big for us to handle.”
The demon prince gave a little sigh, crossing his arms as he was thinking about their words.
“You could be right…” he mumbled.
“Uhm…” Violet spoke up after silence had settled in the room. “Can’t we just do it in a private little group?”
Clover next to her nodded in agreement. “Yeah!” she exclaimed. “just with everyone who’s here right now. It’ll be less complicated that way.”
“Y'all expect me to make someone a present?!” Mammon seemed to have realised just now.
“You’ll get a present in return, you greedy idiot” Levi hissed.
The second oldest kept grumbling some unpleased little comments to himself, but other than that, no-one seemed to be opposed to the idea. Most of them looked like they were looking forward to it… And maybe, a certain little angel child was VERY excited as well.
And even if anyone was against the idea at first, how could one possibly decline when Diavolo seemed to look so overjoyed and happy about the idea alone.
“Then it’s decided!” He announced with sparkling eyes.
“This year, RADs student council and the honorary exchange members will hold a secret Santa Christmas event!”
Concluding this little introduction, the group established the following rules:
the secret Santa is chosen at random and cannot be exchanged with another person
each day, one lucky person would get their present. This order will be drawn by lot as well. The recieving person, however, does not know when he/she will get their present.
you may not tell whom you have to give a present to, and may not spoil anyone who their secret Santa is
have fun and spread love! Merry Christmas!
“… Is that last point really necessary?”
Belphie raised an eyebrow as Clover wrote down the list of rules.
“Yes, yes it is. Christmas is a time of being together, of warmth, and love! I want all of you to really think about a present that will warm the other person’s heart.”
“That’s awfully cheesy…” Lucifer mumbled. “Why can’t I buy something that the person needs? Something efficient and useful.”
“Christmas is not about efficiency!” Clover pouted at Lucifer. “It’s about showing that you care.”
“Sounds nice” Beel smiled. “I’ll try my best.”
“That’s the spirit!” Clover cheered.
The group stared at the list for a little longer, then Satan raised his voice.
“I see difficulties with the second to last rule. How can you guarantee that no one spills their secrets?”
Violet gave a sad laugh. “Yeah, well… You can’t? It kind of happens naturally, there’s always someone who can’t keep the secret.”
We won’t talk about how most of the gazes turned towards Mammon there. We know he’d be the first one to bother you to tell him your secret Santa partner. He’s just an overexcited (and nosy) bean like that.
“But I want it to be a secret!!” Luke whined. “We should all come up with the presents on our own, its way more thrilling that way!”
“My Luke, you’re really enthusiastic about this…” Asmo chuckled.
Then, suddenly, Diavolo stretched out his arm.
“Everyone, place your hand on mine” he ordered.
As everyone obliged, he placed his second hand on top of the tower they have built.
And, wow, believe me that I really, REALLY wanna write “and then they all made a promise to keep their secrets like some kindergarten toddlers :)”
… But I won’t. This is Devildom, so things need a little more pizazz here.
What pizazz?
Well, just the curse that Diavolo put on every single one of them that moment. One that will cause anyone who dares spoiling or spilling any secrets regarding this secret Santa to suffer indescribable pain. That little way-too-extreme Devildom pizazz.
They even got a little curse mark on their hands, which would only be lifted when every last present was handed out.
And while the two human girls and Luke had to process what just happened, Diavolo, again, was all fired up to finally start the secret Santa event now.
So they drew lots…

In the mood to write fic but have no fully formed ideas. So here’s a lil game if anyone actually wants to participate.
I’ve got a randomised list of the Obey Me characters, a list of fanfic genres (like fluff, angst, hurt/comfort, etc.) and a list of cool-sounding english words to use as prompts.
Give me a number from 1-12 for the character, a colour (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple) for the genre, and a letter for the prompt word, and hopefully it’ll inspire me :)
Note: Luke is included but obvs no romance will be involved with him, he is a CHILD
