His eyes were like mixture of molten gold and sharp broken sapphires. So harsh and bright they glowed under the dimmed lights of the street lamps. Bat wings spread out behind him, almost like a halo of death. He stalked over slowly to the witches spread on the filthy ground. Watching their every move never once letting his eyes stray from the sight held before him. Not once did he hesitate when making his way. Stepping over and on the stewed bodies of other witches on the floor.
Swiftly and gracefully he bent to one knee before the head witch of the coven. She stared into his eyes for only a moment’s notice expecting to see the same foolishness that had always resided in them only to be petrified by the burning hatred and disgust held in them now. Quickly looking to the side to avoid eye contact, she felt a slight bit of relief at no longer being the center of attention of those horrid horrid eyes. Though that feeling didn’t last long as she felt one of his hands grip her chin before harshly digging his fingers into the hollows of her cheeks. Eyes widened as she was forced to look his way, locking eyes with his, she felt as if her entire body had been drenched in ice.
Lowly barely even above a whisper he spoke into her ear, ‘Next time ya step out of line, I won’t let ya off so easily. Is that clear?’
All that could go through her mind was the resounding words of being let off easy. This was considered being let off easy? Looking over to the side she could see the bodies of her fellow coven sisters stewed on the ground beside her. More than half of her coven had been either incapacitated or shown mercy and killed in an instant. She could only fear what exactly it meant to not be left off easy.
Shaking like a leaf with tears streaming downing her face and onto his hand, she managed to force out a small whimper and a slight shake of the head. This was what he wanted right? She agreed so she and her sisters would be saved wouldn’t they? They’d be allowed to live another day! Hope began to fill her and her entire being at the thought of not having to witness any more harm come to her and her coven sisters.
Yet just as she was allowing herself to believe, a large gust of wind flew past her. Behind her, she could hear the thudding noises of bodies being cut down and not a second later the piercing pained screams of her sisters. Eyes filled with tears and with a shuddering breathe, she asked, ‘Why?’
Slowly, Mammon pulled back from his position and faced her. Her eyes widened once she had seen his face. There center on his lips sat a soft smile, full of what seemed to be pity. Yet she knew better than to believe that he would feel any kind of remorse for what he had done to her and her sisters. Especially when his eyes still seemed to be so full of hatred and disgust.
Finally after a beat of silence Mammon spoke, ‘I never said that I would let your sisters off, now did I? Ya only have yourself to blame, after all you were the one who agreed weren’t ya?’
At that she let out a piercing scream.

I’m not very proud of this one especially since I’ve been have a bit of a writers block. This also felt like something I had to do, which take lots of enjoyment out of it. But regardless I hope you all liked it.
