I’ve always scoffed at the idea of natural talent, and thank goodness because most of my drive to improve and become the artist I am today has come from knowing that I’ll just keep getting better the more art I create.

You may get frustrated when you first start out, but just keep going. You will get better.

@chibiwriter says: Continuing the tradition of starting the celebration with a meme lol

This year’s theme was ‘support’ so I'm celebrating the supporting cast of ATWWTTA, without whom the leaders and assistants definitely wouldn’t get anything done. Some of the Special Guests are/belong to key players in the fandom and in our discord server you know who you are

Thank you, Surfi, for all the hard work you’ve put into ATWWTTA. You’ve brought all of us together - you’re the wonderful artist who has made all of this possible through her perseverance and storytelling drive and we can never thank you enough for that. I, in particular, feel especially blessed to have a friend group and fandom that finally feels like ‘home’.

We’re all in this together, gang! So let’s celebrate Ashiversary this year (and every year) by supporting the comic, the artist, and each other!

I finished reading Queen of Nothing yesterday and then I watched Swan Princess, and everything Rothbart said started to sound like things Jude would say and now I can’t unsee it.

“You have much to lose and I have nothing. You may win in the end, you may ensorcel me and hurt me and humiliate me, but I will make sure you lose everything I can take from you on the way down.” - Jude in The Cruel Prince

“Mithridatism, it’s called. Isn’t that a funny name? The process of eating poison to build up immunity. So long as I don’t die from it, I’ll be harder to kill.” - Jude in The Cruel Prince

“Power is much easier to acquire than it is to hold on to.” - the entire theme of The Wicked King

Cardan: “She is my wife and the rightful High Queen of Elfhame.”
Jude: **raids Cardan’s closet** **asks Taryn for wardrobe help** **asks Tatterfell to do her hair**
- The Queen of Nothing

And as a bonus, Jude riding up to the giant serpent at the end of Queen of Nothing:

Rothbart without Odile is not Rothbart

I actually kind of regret they didn’t put her in the movie

Can you imagine what kind of dynamic these two could have, taken how they wrote Rothbart??

How it could influence all the stuff with Odette??

What dynamic could Odile and Odette possibly have???

You know, even though i think he’d rather wish a son as a heir initially, i believe he could actually be a really nice father

In spite of the fact that the complicated situation in which he once found himself, the difficulties that came with it, and some aspects of his nature have certainly affected her character

Oh man, I really gotta finally settle and sort all the stuff in my head, there’s so much going on

Justine Summers, in a shoot for The Australian Ballet’s ‘Divergence’in 1994. Houston Ballet’s Artistic Director, Stanton Welch was the choreographer for this strong and provocative ballet. The tutu featured in this photo, is made entirely of old car tyres. This picture was seen all over the cities of Melbourne and Sydney on billboards and posters. Her energy is presented through every muscle in her body, every angle in her line and of course, channelled through her eyes.
