Yuri On Ice The Movie: Ice Adolescence has been postponed until further notice

Reminder: Please remember the staff is pouring their hearts out with this movie. They are individuals, like all of us, not machines. The movie may not be coming this year, but it is coming. We just need to be a little more patient.
We may be getting some potential new Yuri on Ice content with Animedia’s March issue, which releases on February 9th.
The magazine will feature a “close up” with Viktor to celebrate the Ice Adolescence trailer release, as well as interviews with two Yuri on Ice composers.
I will post more info when the magazine is released. Stay tuned!
In case you’re all having a bad day, here’s some good news. This time next week, we may get to see the new teaser for the Yuri on Ice Movie that was shown in theaters in Japan a couple of weeks ago.
There is no official release date, however news and spoilers have been provided by those who attended the series screenings in Japan
- The movie is set in the Olympics. Viktor is performing (possibly even debuting)
- Viktor is wearing a green costume.
- “There’s a first time for everything..” this could be alluding to something. Maybe Viktor wins his first gold medal/first Olympic medal here/ first medal for Russia?
- The Olympics are set in Paris
- Yuuri will also be in the movie (possibly watching)
- The animation is better than Welcome to the Madness

Deep in his heart, Yuri knows it’s the wrong choice to agree to attend the little “wake up the demon house” tour he’s been invited on, but it may be his only chance to see Viktor Nikiforov, the only one he feels can help him with his telekenisis, and besides, all that stuff about the house eating people, it’s just an exaggeration…. right?
“Which kind of skater do you think people find more bizarre, Beka? A motorcycle-obsessed-coffee-addicted-DJ who is actually just as comfortable in knit sweaters and suits than he is in leather jackets? Or a classical-ballet-trained-pizza-loving-loudmouth brat who can’t stand imperfection but refuses to wear anything that looks a tad too perfect?”
“What’s probably most bizarre to them is…”
“Is what?“
“…is the fact that we’re sitting here with each other, planning not only our next skate together, but also the rest of our lives together.”
“I barely believe this myself.”
“But just like me, you think nothing can be more perfect.”
I’m gonna be honest, I really want to see JJ bothering Yuri in the GPF. And Yuri runs to hide behind Otabek. And Otabek being the stoic kind Takashi Morinozuka of YOI faces JJ and “politely” says to please stop bothering Yuri and go admire himself in the mirror or whatever.
Or
Yuri catches a glance of JJ coming to bother him and he “inconspicuously” glances around to hide behind someone. Then Otabek, being the hero that he is, comes back from the bathroom or somewhere at an opportune time and Yuri runs to him and dives behind his back. Yuri clings to his arms and surreptitiously peeks out to see if JJ saw him. And Otabek curiously raises his brows and asks,”Yuri, are you all right?”
“Shh. Fucking King Jerk-Jackass is gonna bother me again. I need to hide.”
“O-kay.” And Otabek pats him on the head which causes Yuri to blush a bit and glare at him with the same heat as that of an angry kitten. Otabek hums and lets Yuri hide behind him, acting as if there was nothing strange about it.
JJ misses Yuri hiding behind Otabek and goes to bother someone else. But a certain Thai skater certainly didn’t. Let’s just say a certain photo managed to break the social media once again.
