Went for a shortish patrol to a corner of the swamp today. Haven’t been down there in a few years, it was time to check in and see what’s changed. Lots of foliage I remember is gone, probably tamped down by recent heavy rains. Ground was soft as always, I nearly twisted my ankle when one spot gave out. The worst that came of that was some dirt and mud on my boot, which washed off quickly crossing the creek. Mosquitos swarmed, so I had to keep moving. Didn’t stop me from taking photos though, the bastards!
