A lavender field pathway in the direction of the guest home. Pollinators love to hang out, which helps our environment through the cross pollination of our plants, trees, and flowers. They support our ecosystem by pollinating food sources for other wildlife and humans.

We’re all connected, so take care of your home by using organic products that don’t kill wildlife. The use of pesticides poisons bees, as do insecticides. There’s even one that attacks their nervous system. Flying through treated areas exposes them to the chronic poisoning of their water and nectar. All of this damages the planet and our lives. A hiking trail preserving very old oaks. This design looks beautiful without the need for a thirsty lawn, or other impracticalities that can further harm California’s drought situation and the environment through chemicals like pesticides. Planning a landscape doesn’t mean more is better. Sometimes retaining existing elements and enhancing them is the way to go.
