Painting this may be difficult, but it’s an incredibly satisfying journey. It all started when Forge World release the miniature for Leman Russ, and I immediately fell in love with it. I like the fact that Russ is not old looking warrior with thick beard, but a handsome rugged savage hero that I always dreamed of, as depicted in the Forge World art and mini.
The process was difficult because there is no one consistent design on him. Every art sport a different design, different sword, different axe. And the angle of his posture is pretty difficult to translate in 2d space. Nevertheless, I’ll elaborate about the journey daunting process in another post. Right now, just enjoy this awesome image of the Wolf King. I dare say it’s the most handsome version of Russ you’ve seen so far.
And for those of you who fancy a little bit more. You can read a short “story commentary” from the remembrancer who captured this image in this link below. Enjoy!
For a happy and successful summer, follow these easy steps:
1. Ignore your job, studies, or whatever other duties you have until you get fired, expelled, banished, etc. 2. End up on a desert island. Enslave all its inhabitants. Have one of them whip you up this fantastic cocktail - the Prospero. 3. Set up an elaborate plot to get your revenge on… actually, you know what, that sounds too exhausting. 4. Continue ignoring your responsibilities and have your servant make you another cocktail instead.
Ingredients:
Lemon juice
4 cl Curaçao
Tonic water
A handful of kumquats
Preparation:
Make ice cubes out of the lemon juice (mixed with water if you’re not into overly sour stuff). Cut the kumquats in half to set free their flavour. Chuck everything together in a glass befitting your station as a colonialist asshat rightful ruler of this island. See, it’s really easy. Even a caricature of societies wrongfully perceived as beneath you due to blatant racism stupid servant should manage that.
