I kind of imagined Douxie & Zoe took a rare moment off to just sit at a park somewhere & just quietly observe ppl, muse on life maybe, or maybe they’re at one of Steve’s varsity games (cuz big bro D is sweet supportive Bebe) And Zoe gets an affectionate hand smooch goodyyy, enjoy!

In a moment of extreme vulnerability, I once admitted to someone how I wished people did their own research about mental illness in order to better understand and help people with mental illnesses.
That person said to me something along the lines of, “Tough luck, that kind of information isn’t easily accessible to everyone.”
And well that’s just….not true. It’s called Google, my friends. If you have internet, that information is available to you in spades.
My small, gentle encouragement :
To those of us with mental disorders (myself included), it’s okay to say, “I have a mental illness and this is how it effects me.” Normalize it. Let others know. Help them understand. I know it’s hard. One day at a time. One moment at a time.
To those who notice concerning behavior, look into it. If you already know what the disorder is, look into it. No, I’m not saying you need to become a psychologist. But just doing a tiny bit of research goes a long way. “How can I help/understand/talk to/be a friend to someone with [insert mental disorder]?” It really means a lot.
To everyone, you are loved, seen, and known. You’re a masterpiece. There’s endless grace for where you are and where you’ve been, and thus no shame.
A moment from a very underdeveloped zouxie HC of mine, long story short: Douxie and Zoe have a major falling out, in the midst of this Zoe is kidnapped by wizards for some problematic scheme involving lightning based wizards, no one can find her, she manages to eventually perform a Tenentes unknown to her captors (typically only done between soulbound wizards (which they are not at this time) because it requires strong, deeply rooted, emotional connections, it’s a dreamlike summoning where you and your soulbound meet in the Realm of Inbetweens and can communicate for a short period of time, think old school magical zoom call.) This is the moment where she finally succeeds after weeks of trying and they see each other for the first time in months. Have a vague idea of this whole story moment, may develop it eventually! Enjoy!

Y’all. Douxie. How beautiful of a character he is to get to know.
I rewatched a couple of his scenes and I remembered… how absolutely delightful he was. How wonderful the few short episodes he’s a main character in are.
Like, he’s good. I know there’s more to him, but I love how embracing the story is of his good heart, how they didn’t need to add any grittiness or dark themes, and how sweet and caring he is.
Rewatching the scenes I got hit so hard by my initial feelings of watching him, and like… those feelings are unparalleled. I’ve never before felt such bliss to watch a character’s journey, a journey that’s focused on him being a good person. Like I know it sounds lame, but it’s not; especially in the time Wizards came out, his characterization was like a breath of fresh air. And I don’t know if I’ll ever get to feel something similar again, to watch a character so pure, sweet, relatable, and unabashedly himself be the center of a story and not have those traits bullied out of him. To persist and stay true to himself and his values.
I wish I could forget everything about him so that I could watch the show and experience the feeling of knowing him all over again.
Also random fun fact : My first shiny was a Glalie but the dude has red eyes so I straight up thought it was just an alpha Pokemon before I saw the sparkles lol
