#romanticise your life

LIVE

I am drunk with sleep. I know nothing but the lull of sweet slumber in my mind. I want to be truly awake, feel the pleasure of romance, of poetry idealized in the image of two hands intertwined. The silhouette of shadows coming as one. When will i experience the spark, catch fire and burn with small confessions everyday, as another candle ignites and eases itself in my wandering heart

I feel like “romanticize your life” actually means “perform for an imaginary voyeur.” Men don’t do this shit.

You’re literally correct. Every iteration I’ve seen of someone “romanticizing” blah blah blah has been about skincare, diet, gaslighting themselves into being pleasant about something uncomfortable, etc

Or it’s about viewing your life as if it’s a film, focused on creating beautiful imagery for an external viewer, and that’s so…. unhealthy?

“Romanticizing my life by reading by candlelight in my silk nightgown” do you actually enjoy that? Or do you enjoy the image you think it’s creating? Do you enjoy the tableau that you can’t even see, but you imagine you must be creating for someone who isn’t even watching?

This post has made a lot of people very angry and that’s how I know it’s a good post and I’m right.

I began becoming that girl again, the girl who had wildflowers in hair, and madness in her soul, the girl who danced, trembling with emotions. I began becoming that girl again, the girl who sang her soul, longing to drink the wine of life again…..

The music of falling leaves, the autumnal story to tell, as I drink in deep its nostalgic smell. The flash of red, the flash of gold. Yesterday is past, yet, the tale did not grow old.

“One reads poetry because he is a member of the human race, and the human race is filled with passion! Medicine, law, banking- these are necessary to sustain life. But poetry, romance, love, beauty? These are what we stay alive for!” Dead Poets Society

Weekly life update

This week was a hot mess. I was somewhat unproductiv and wish I would have done more. I have to study alot, but I usually push that as far back as possible. Also, I do not work out enought. I need to get my disciplin back and I will take you guys with me.

This weeks read is “The catcher in the rye”. I know, a lot of people do not like J.D. Salinger, but I admire his style of writing. The story is quite good and I am looking forward to finishing this book.

Furthermore, I started planing our trip to Italy after gratuating high schoo. It is so much fun, becasue it is the first trip, I am planing for this family. Maybe I will go somewhere else on my own too.

The cooles thing defenetly was the escaperoom I visited this friday. We had lots of fun puting the pieces together.

So till next week.
