My vanity area is still a work in progress, but I’m really happy with how I rescued this trellis thing to become a necklace display! (My vanity mirror is opposite of this.)
My mom was going to throw this thing away, and I said nO WAY!! I was going to use it for a plant, but the plant died and the shape was awkward. So I repainted it (painstakingly… the gold leaves are like a stamp, but I had to redo it by hand), and hung it in a way that gives it a new use! I think it adds a lot of character to this area of my room. (Also, it’s not even all of my necklaces lmaooooo…)
I have another immediate plan to add a real window shelf so I can stop destroying the sill with plant pots (already bought the shelf, just need to mangle the wall next.) And I still need to clean off the vanity counter, but that’s a project for Future Cori. But the new shelf will help give me the extra table space I need, and allow me to open the window.
(Also peep the Christmas Cactuses on the hanging pots I elevated from shitty grey Dollar Tree pots by spray painting them gold!! I have gone through so many gold spray paint bottles trying to get some sense of cohesion with my room decor… thank you Rustoleum for making such a luminous shade of gold…) #roomdecor #jewelrystand #jewelryorganizer #organization #indoorgardening #indoorplants #upcycling #upcycle #recycle #decor #interiordesign #necklace #necklaces #handpainted #vanity #vanitycounter https://www.instagram.com/p/CZr2uoSP0YV/?utm_medium=tumblr
Located opposite #Paris’ oldest art school still in operation, the recently opened Hôtel des Académies et des Arts (@hoteldesacademiesetdesarts_) brings back to life Montparnasse’s historic ateliers where artists worked and socialized during the interwar period through the characterful interiors and bespoke furnishings of architecture and interior design studio @lizee_hugot, the murals of French artist Franck Lebraly, and burgeoning collection of paintings, drawings and sketches, as well as an in-house art classes and workshops organized in collaboration with the adjacent Académie de la Grande Chaumiè (@grandechaumiere_officiel) which has been fostering life drawing, painting and sculpting since 1904. I wanted a box to store things but I did not want to go out and buy an expensive organizer. I searched my house and found a nice box and extra fabric. This box is simple to make and cute. The most important benefit is that it was cheap and fun to make.
Supplies:
· Fabric of your choice *make sure it’s big enough to cover your box*
