Happy St. Patrick’s Day! It’s that time of the year where Dex trades his shorts for a kilt and his sneakers for spats. Yes there are Irish bagpipe players for those who are wondering.
“For the great Gaels of Ireland Are the men that God made mad, For all their wars are merry, And all their songs are sad.” ~ G.K. Chesterton — I find it fascinating that every year the world celebrates a whole nation with the drinking of beer and wearing green. And yet it makes total sense. Like Chesterton said, these people are a paradox: beautifully sad yet cheerfully bellicose. Even their enemies admire them. The Celtic Spirit is is alive and well long after the Gales that Chesterton wrote about have passed on their joyful sorrow. So happy Saint Patrick’s Day! Enjoy your sad songs and beer! I’ve been wanting to make a #saintpatricksday skirt for a while now, but never found a fabric I liked until recently. I love the gold shamrocks and subdued greens. And while yes, it’s a #gatheredskirt, I tried something new with the wide pleats up front & a wider hem (3 inches) for more of a vintage look. I lined it with a green cotton voile, and made the pockets green for a fun pop! https://www.instagram.com/p/Buh_YingaA6/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1rl0nueomjoyg
Happy Saint Patrick’s Day with oviraptorid Heyuannia huangi.
Yeah, there’s no evidence of any non-avian dinosaurs are having green colorations as in fossilized, except for little more speculative. Which is why I’m choosing oviraptorids such as Heyuannia as parrot-like green coloration to celebrate with Saint Patrick’s Day on March 17th.
