I don’t know if there is anyone around anymore who was in the Sam/Martouf fandom, but is it bad that I crackship Sam and Chris Argent (JR’s character from Teen Wolf) so hard? They’ve both had such tragedy in their lives and have never been lucky in love. I just think their dynamic would work so well. (In my mind, they are together and I don’t care what people think lol)
If I had a nickle for every time I had a ship that was in hindsight canon for a good 12 years but never got complete confirmation because for one part it would have been a “cultural” no-go for half of the target audience and for another part the ship will absolutely not mention The Thing unless they are likely to die within minutes (that way we do get an one-sided verbal declaration); regardless, everybody they meet just assumes they belong together, including some of the writers; … then I would have two nickles. Which isn’t much, but weird that it happened twice.
It‘s DONE! My VERY first digital drawing!! Had you shown me this a week ago and told me I drew it, I would‘ve said you‘re nuts! I was not sure I could do it… This is Stargate drawing Nr. 11 and I am BEYOND proud! I so hope you like it! I was so insecure about this whole digital art stuff. I proved myself that I could do it. I‘m so happy! And I hope to do many new drawings like this!
One of the things I really like about John Sheppard is how he treats women. Yes, he is called Kirk several times, because when he meet a woman his face seem to light up like Christmas tree. But when you look at him closer, he is not Casanova at all. He said himself that he`s just being friendly. And after watching him more closely, I believe him. Actually he rarely have some love interest and never gets to keep it at the end. But I digressed.
When I said I like how he treats women I meant that he always respects them. He treats them as equal. Whether it was Teyla, Elizabeth, Sam or others, he never had a problem with them because they were women, never treated them differently, never flirted when they weren`t interested or belittled them in some way or the other. When he argued with them it was because they had different opinions, or different approach to the problems. He often stood up for Teyla when others doubted her either because she was alien, outsider or woman, simply because she was a valuable member of his team and he trusted her.
He has not single time had a problem working under Elizabeth`s command. When there was some differences it stemed from her being a civilian, a diplomat and him military rather than different genders. And I really love his mutual relationship with Carter. He respected her because she was commander of Atlantis and had a vast experiences in anything alien. She respected him and often deferred to his opinions because he has had over three years to get to know Atlantis, Pegasus galaxy and enemy before she even got there. So it was beautiful to watch two mature people who were secure in their positions and didn`t need to make a unecessary points.
I wish there was more characters like this. Men who are respectful, friendly and have no problem to work under woman`s command.
