When polish art meets italian land…
In 2011 in Agrigento in The Valley of the Temples (Sicilia) had place exhibition of polish sculptor - Igor Mitoraj (died October 2014). His very characteristic style (big faces, broken bodies) was referring to greek and roman mithology and history. His sculptures still we can see in few cities of Italy like: on Piazza Monte Grappa in Rome, Giardino di Boboli in Florence, sculptures in Milan.
Until January 2015 you can see his works in Pisa on Piazza dei Miracoli.

A French capital from the early 12th century. It’s sculpted with a foliage design and is made out of black marble, which really stands out in The Cloisters’ collection of columns and capitals.
