#shivers
These are really fun to do and I’m learning a lot about digital painting from them so I’m gonna try to do all of them!

Your hands
bound behind your back.
A blindfold, a soft rope.
Thump-thump (your heart).
A barely-audible whisper,
a sigh.
…
There will be
goose-bumps
where fingers make contact
shivers
where hands explore
trembling
where the breath hovers

My brother still bites his nails to the quick,
but lately he’s been allowing them to grow.
So much hurt is forgotten with the horizon
as backdrop. It comes down to simple math.
The beach belongs to none of us, regardless
of color, or money. We all come to sit
at the feet of the surf, watch waves
drag the sand and crush shells for hours.
My brother’s feet are coated in sparkly powder
that leaves a sticky residue when dry.
He’s twenty-three, still unaware of his value.
It is too easy, reader, for me to call him
beautiful, standing against the sky
in cherrywood skin and almond
eyes in the sun, so instead I tell him
he is handsome. I remind him
of a day when I brought him to the beach
as a boy. He’d wandered, trailing a tourist,
a white man pointing toward his hotel—
all for a promised shark tooth.
I yelled for him, pulled him to me,
drove us home. Folly Beach. He was six.
He almost went.

lgbt discourse stuff etc
one of the things that makes lgbt discourse engagers’ arguments completely fail always is that they feel the need to change the way other people think about things as fundamental as identity and sexuality when thats just 1 not going to happen, youre making a post on the internet its not going to do anything but make people block you and 2 sexuality and gender identity and the overlap between those 2 and every other aspect of your identity is something specific to yourself and your experiences and the space that you occupy in the world. you cant tell someone theyre wrong about their own experiences and what makes them happy just because you personally dont like it or because you got mad at a guy that doesnt exist and applied it to a real life person. etc etc. not to mention going up to someone and saying their identity isnt real/is bigoted/etc is something none of you would ever do without the cover of the internet + is just a generally assholeish thing to do and you all know that. its fairly obvious you people only take the moral high ground because you want to be right and make someone else feel bad etc. go outside. k bye
