i think the reasoning is really obvious but i’ll explain anyways. we get multiple scenes where miya clearly displays signs of having abandonment issues and by god he DEFINITELY cried to this after reki left him in the elevator. i feel fucking horrible too because a literal child shouldn’t have to feel so alone all the time.

this isnt COMPLETELY accurate but i think its fairly accurate enough for his little depression arc thing. specifically the verse (?)
“You’re the sun, you’ve never seen the night

the song isn’t entirely about not being enough but a good part of it is and damn if the phrase “not being enough” doesnt remind me of reki’s arc then idk what does
Langa: First Love/Late Spring
this is the most farfetched i think but idk i just feel like he relies a lot on reki (not in a bad way ofc) in both canon and fanon. i don’t understand his character as well as i get miya and reki but, i still think he’s sad sometimes yknow. he just doesn’t understand it very well, therefore the line “Lately I’ve been crying like a / Tall child”
no cuz do you think miya hangs out at joe’s restaurant because he has no friends in school, lost reki, and wants to avoid his parents? and joe just allows it because ever since kaoru got stuck in the hospital the restaurant feels so empty without him. and miya just reminds him so much of kaoru??? hello????????? found family my beloved??????? miya and joe being each other’s stability in a father-son way????
