[Jillian] Tamaki’s work, both in her new collection and in her collaborations with her cousin, shows a distinct flare for displaying the humanness in our constantly changing world. Her work regularly confronts us with situations, settings, and behaviors that we recognize, but may never have seen before in a work of art or literature. In 2017, you’d hardly believe this was possible.
It’s significant that Tamaki couches many of these stories so deeply in technology. This is something that, while impossible to ignore, can be a crutch for authors writing in the present. Most writers tend to try and circumnavigate it, and focus directly on the people, or they submit themselves to writing in the same language presented by our expanding vortex of social media, which has a tendency to focus on the post-postmodern, re-contextualizing what’s already been done in loud and, too often, ironic, ways.
Boundless doesn’t do this. Tamaki draws her inspiration from people, from what is real. She is a student of “now,” and seeks to explore the humans that are still present in the thick culture-cloud of media and technology that envelopes us today.
Supply spotlight! My White Nights watercolors are my favorite watercolors to work with. I have created so many portraits with these paints. They are vibrant, smooth, blend beautiful, and aren’t super expensive for professional quality paints.

Muy feliz, porque a la persona detrás de esa marca,Paloma, le debo muchísimo: la oportunidad de hacer el trabajo más enriquecedor y mas bonito que he hecho en mi vida, el haber provocado que mi camino y el de Diana Irazabal se convirtieran en el mismo y la enorme confianza que ha depositado en mí desde que nos conocemos. Paloma es una de esas personas, tan escasas, que te lo da todo y todavía parece que eres tú quien le haces un favor a ella. Si alguien me prometiera que una vez al año voy a trabajar para un cliente como ella, firmaría hoy mismo sin pensar el tener una suerte como esa.
Ese de ahí soy yo, recibiendo una tormenta de nieve lanzada con mucho amor por mis queridos Flavio y Sarah. Estas ultimas 48 horas me siento así, recibiendo una tormenta de amor y afecto. Tumblrha decidido incluirme en los destacados de fotografía, y estoy enormemente agradecido y contento. Gracias enormes al equipo de Tumblr y a los nuevos followers que empezais a llegar, gracias por asomaros y bienvenidos!

That´s me in the picture, taking a snowstorm shooted at me with love by my beloved Flavio & Sarah. This last 48 hours I feel a little bit that way, receiving a storm of love and affection.
