Today’s my first day on another show (unannounced) which means it’s also time for me to say goodbye to Marvel Rising. I was only on it for less than a year but these cuties really grew on me and I’m gonna miss drawing them :’<

nancy: aww, thanks tony!
doreen: hey, uh, tony stark, famously busy avengerbillionaireplayboyphilanthropistceo, uhm… how’d you know to call us? :)
tony: oh! uh. JARVIS told me about it.
doreen: [practically grinning at this point] your military-grade AI told you about our student radio show? wait, he interrupted your important avengers work to tell you to call us, right away?
tony: i May have been listening inside the suit,
doreen: haHAAA, i KNEW it
tony: well there’s no shame in that! sometimes iron man has some downtime flying from coast to coast! and, you know what? listening to kids in their early 20s helps me keep my slang up-to-date. that’s important when you're— [LOUDLY CLEARS THROAT] years old. and denying the. reality of your. aging body—
doreen: HAHA, OLD MAN STARK!! tuning into a college radio inside a flashy red hot-rod suit he sculpted to have metal abs! no early midlife crisis there at all, bud…!
tony: [pauses for a second]
tony: eexactly! perfectly well-adjusted—[laser explosion noises] hoookay, gotta go, MODOK’s getting antsy i’m talkin’ to you instead of listening to him monologue

At a sketch session on Sunday with the guys and Chris suggested I draw ‘Squirrel Girl with her own iron suit.’ Since ya know, Tony seems to enjoy giving those out. ;)

A long over due friend request that was a lot of fun to make. Kinda ended up looking like a polaroid picture, but with her tail and fart breaking the fourth windall
Side note: I’d love to see a Squirrel Girl movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Alison Brie would be perfect casting.

Ok I just finished listening and it’s very cute! Ryan North’s writing shines in audio format so the show feels very much like a continuation of the comic :) the cameo from magneto was cute (and since this takes place immediately following the end of the sg comics, it does track that krakoa isnt yet the status quo for mutants)
Most important the squancy content was definitely quality over quantity this time but Doreen did call Nancy her “best girlfriend” and their banter is cute :3

This show was so cute and I like how it used the medium of radio the same way that the sg comics did, it’s very cool, big props to Ryan North for managing to capture that magic in both media!
