Honestly, with finn and poe, I want to be mad, but I can’t. Sure, it would be amazing if they were canon, and it would have been monumental if they had been the ones to break a stigma that is still surrounding movies today. But the love is there. You can choose to see it or you can choose not to, but it will always be there. Both actors played that shit to their best abilities for what they were allowed to do, and the words they’ve spoken about the matter are as big. John and Oscar don’t brush it under the rug. Oscar fought for it on and offscreen and never once gave into the “no, that would be cool, but Poe is straight in the movies” that other actors would have. Whether we got an onscreen kiss or not, it doesn’t take much of a scratch to the surface to see what was meant to be there.

Canon would have been better, but we can always look at the progress these two have made towards it.

There is something I think should be said. (And has probably been said before but hey.)
We are all one fandom. So if you’re a fan yourself, stop sucking the fun out of it for your fellow fans.

You don’t like a topic? Blacklist the relevant tags and move on. You don’t like a person in the fandom? Block them and move on. You don’t like a ship? Blacklist it and move the fuck on.

Tag your stuff so it can be filtered. Don’t tag stuff in a way that pisses people off (like throwing your ship in an unrelated ship tags). Stop invading tags of things you don’t like.

Stop wasting time and energy on being an asshole towards people and create something for a ship/topic you like instead (seriously, mindlessly hating on things, what a waste of time and energy. Just an example, but if all the people who complain about the increase of Kylux fanwork would sit their asses down and started creating shit instead of whining the whole day long, mabe there would be more stuff relevant to their interests as well.).

Hell, I, for example, don’t even like Reylo. But if a fandom behaves so badly that you start defending a ship you don’t like, that fandom is doing something wrong.

So yeah, I don’t even like your ship but I will defend your right to ship it (and the way you choose to ship it).
