Some toys from November/December 2018 I never got to upload due to life getting too busy. These were all going to be their own sets with posing, transformations, as well as some thoughts on each set. But life got in the way and then Tumblr went and killed itself. After majorly trimming these sets down and combining them into one post I’ve decided to upload these anyways so I know the dates/time frame I picked these things up for my own records. Part 2

2019 VG Journal 3
Three years running! New year, more games old and new to waste my unlimited potential on! Once again the goal is to play 52 games before the end of the year. 52 games to average a game a week (since you know…there are 52 weeks in a year). But due to being a busy human being with adult responsibilities, a social life, pets and mostly not having it together all the time the one bone I throw myself is “Big (unbeatable) time sinks.” A great example of this is the game I’ve already been playing obsessively at the start of this year: Animal Crossing New Leaf. That game does not have a traditional beginning, middle, and end. In fact it just keeps going and going and there is no end. If I put over 10 hours into game like that or an online multiplayer only type game - then it’s counted at the end of the year as on of my 52 games. For instance I already put 20+ into ANCL for the start of this year -.-…so yeah…it counts. Here we go! I hope my 2019 is better than 2018 and I hope the games are even better!

January 6, 2020 - The 2019 Recap:
Without getting too much into 2019 itself - WHAT A GARBAGE YEAR FOR LIFE IN GENERAL. Glad that’s over. AS for the video games, it was a great transitional year for me to be able to catch up on a lot of stuff and continue to push off other titles I should be finishing before the end of the generation -.-. Not counting my big unbeatable time sinks, I was able to complete 45 games across 10 different platforms. More interestingly is it was actually 12 different platforms as I played a gba title on my gamecube, and got the switch lite (transitioning from the Switch). I am pretty happy I was able to get my hands on so many consoles this year. This marks a new a record for myself! Of course this was no coincidence. Though it took significantly longer than expected we did move to a bigger place over here in California. This is not permanent or even where we want to be in the next year or two but I made sure to make this a comfy place for me where I have easy access to my stuff.
My handhelds, and most video games are now easily accessible. The current generation systems funny enough are the games that are the most difficult to reach at the moment, but I digress.
I made a conscious decision to try and play less online focused games or games that didn’t have an end in sight. And I accomplished that goal by cutting that list almost entirely in half. THAT said…the Call of Duty that came out at the end of this year basically ruined that for me. For the first time in the history of me doing this list, I was on track or ahead this whole year. I was actually genuinely averaging almost a game or two a week! Then I got my new computer.
Then I started playing Modern Warfare. And I spent so much time in that game I almost considered putting it on my list twice. I played so much multiplayer that I almost didn’t reach 52 games this year! At the last minute I almost ruined my streak! But we made it. And I’m good for 3 years in a row now.
I usually don’t do this but before I end this I just want to say my games of 2019 were Ace Combat, Outer Wilds, Resident Evil 2, and Devil May Cry V. Outer Wilds and Ace Combat are necessities. If I made a proper list - they would both be number 1. Please go out and play these games!
And with that! Fuck this decade, let’s hope the next one is better! Welcome 2020!
Some of my video games pick ups from the past couple months (before AC7, RE2, and KH3 came out and consumed my life).
The Mario Maker 2ds is beautiful. It’s making me consider repainting/customizing some of my triples and quadruples of my spare consoles.

January has been insane. What a good freaking start to 2019 (….at least as far as video games)! I never thought I’d say this in a million years…but out of all of the games that released this month - Ace Combat 7 is the one that enthralled me the most. I could not put it down. Resident Evil 2 did manage to make me scream out of terror a couple times and having anxiety riddled runs through hallways with Mr. X and Lickers trying to get to a safe room. But imagine screaming at the screen as (a different) Mister x is doing a dance with death you in the sky - annihilating your teammates -as you’re fucking flooring it, doing high G turns trying your best to keep up with him as the equivalence of Nier Automata music is blaring in the background. IT’S FUCKING AWESOME. Also Kingdom Hearts 3 is alright so far too!
The keyboard seen above is the same one Capcom has bundled in their $900 edition of the game - but I got it for 80% less than their absurd mark up.
We’ll see if I keep posting here but I continued to take pictures this past month and a half as if I had a place to put them. Hopefully I either break the habit or I convince myself this platform is worth keeping up with.

I picked up quite a few games at the beginning of the month! Highlights include Gauntlet Seven Sorrows, Amplitude, Burnout 2, Xmen Legends 2 and SNK 40th Anniversary!
And from the third picture onward is all of my black Friday pick-ups. I am loving the Surface Pro 6 and all of it’s accessories. That’s how and why I have been posting so often! In another month or so I’ll be able to pick up my new camera and I’ll be on my way to making sets for my collection again!
Also I’ve been playing God of War and really enjoying it! I don’t know when I’ll get to Shadow of War as I still have to beat the first game …but it was only ten dollars so I figured why not. And lastly I picked up Battlefront II for $15. Jumped on a few times and I’ve enjoyed the 3 hours I have put into it so far

More toys of course! I was able to pick up Enfy and her Swoop bike for half the price! I also picked up Omega Red to fight my Wolverine, and I love how creepy this figure is!
Lastly I got my hands on my first Mezco One:12 figure. @approachingfarewell, bought herself the One:12 Catwoman and I love it! But all my worst fears were confirmed while messing around with it in person. The figures are amazingly detailed and the little suits/clothing is an awesome touch that I’m glad has reached the 1:12 market at decent price…but it does hinder the actual pose-ability. Which was obvious and I knew that would be the case from what everyone has said - but what made it more of a bummer is the fact that the bodies they are using are actually surprisingly pose-able. The bodies themselves are fantastic and are only hindered by the layer of clothing on top which is why I’m bummed out. While posing Catwoman I felt as if the suit was going to give out and had to re-adjust it for the sake of not tearing the suit. I’m stating the obvious here but I’m actually surprised by how much I like these despite my disappointment.

Over the past couple months staff and students got me into Magic the Gathering x.x. And yesterday was the beginning of our school club for MTG with an even to teach students (and staff) how to play. I wish I had taken better pictures (and more throughout the event) because they don’t do it justice. The turnout was huge for my school. Over 25 kids came as well as 5 teachers, parents, and the entire family of a student whose family player-base goes back 3 generations!
A big thank you to Wizards of the Coast for providing the training decks, mats, and play guide. You’ve helped bring a lot of anxious students out of their shells and provided a safe place for them to have fun.

I said it before in a text post so I’m just going to copy and paste my thoughts here: As far as I’m concerned Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee and Pikachu is a hundred dollar game. I don’t see how anyone is playing this without the Pokeball Plus accessory. Also I really like this game. I think this is a welcome refresh of the series. I feel like it’s a Pokemon game that finally respects my time as a player and an adult.
