My first goat ever and oh, she’s gonna come out perfectly, just can’t wait to paint, sew and suit her up! Don Peyotte, a shaman speaking to ancient spirits via the drum he made of a cactus and a piece of crocodile skin (don’t ask how he got the skin, you don’t wanna know the story!). He translates his questions in the language of rhythms and plays them, listening to what the spirits tell him in response: every whisper going out of the shell in his ear, every jingle of his bell and the music of winds living in copper tubes of his earring contain their phrases but he’s a master of sounds and hints, he knows for sure what it really means. Place and time are important: one question can be asked under the silent Moon on the top of a high hill, your feet drowned in sand freezing, while another demands scorching white hot Sun over your head, sweat pounding your drum instead your paws, each drop pronouncing your request - and he knows all the whens and wheres.

Red Kappa’s brooch. These poisonous creatures are keepers of the Amazon river so you’d better keep your hands away from their headbowls: piranhas are their most usual familiars which would be happy to bite off any of your fingers, and the more, the better. Red Kappas are furious, average in height but almost same size wide; their arms are strong and enormously long, their hands dragging on the ground when the kappas come out of the water; you’re doomed if you decide to swim in the river for nobody can beat the creatures in swimming and those who have lost are their food. Each of their finger tips produces sticky slime, similar to their stomach juice, it doesn’t resolve in fresh water so you’d better never ever allow them to touch you. The creatures have no pity, they are far not as polite as their Japanese relatives, they cannot be pleased by a cucumber or whatsoever with your name carved on its surface, and the only way to get rid of them is a torch burning bright, as they are deadly afraid of fire. Unfortunately, humans have made it so hot here on Earth that the whole Amazon ecosystem is afraid of fire, so just keep out of the creatures and stay away from the Amazon, leave it be.

Morel Dragon, a weird yet beautiful creature, 1-1.5 meter long, its skin in shades of green and its head topped with two short crook horns. A remarkable part of its appearance is wide postaural frills, taut and firm, their look reminding a morel cap’s structure - which obviously was the reason of the name this kind of dragons has got. Adults’ frills are huge, their edges ginger, they can shape a sphere over a dragon’s hindhead to cover it from any damage - or to protect the eggs and the young offspring which males and females both hide and carry within thick fur growing over there instead of making a nest.
Nowadays morel dragons are rare to be met in the wild due to deforestation, poaching and ancient beliefs. Their frills have been taken for cure from many human diseases, and tubes made of their horns believed to have magical powers like attracting wealth and luck or banishing ghosts and demons away. No need to say, there is no truth in any of it; after many researches done by scientists it is known for sure that morel dragons’ kind is natural, not magical, but humans are creatures of their habits and new ideas come slow to their minds. However, you can still admire morel dragons in a few dragon zoos and in a couple of rainforest reserves, which still keep the original ecosystem of their habitat.
