New Sweater KAL, AND HAIRCUT!- who dis?! Our #farmhousecardikal, kicked off yesterday! I meant to get out a newsletter for the KAL, but I was delayed by a few days because…well, just wait for the Homestead Sport update that is coming tomorrow…. it’s massive and we have been skeining and labeling all of your favorite colors that have been out of stock for some time, and some brand spankin new ones! I’ll be sending out a newsletter tomorrow evening, as soon as everything has been posted on the website, so make sure you are all signed up for that, and your notifications for our Instagram are on ( it’s the bell next to our name ).

Farmhouse Cardi KAL:
Since we are currently running a year long #2022colorworkandcableskal on Instagram and Ravelry, we decided to just make this KAL, one for Instagram only. All you have to do is:

This cardigan uses our ROAN DK for the larger stripe portions of the body and ribbing, and Homestead Sport for the thinner stripes in the body. It is knit flat, using simple raglan increases for shoulder shaping. It is meant to be oversized, so it is suggested to have at least 4-8” of positive ease when choosing a size, but most importantly it is #sizeinclusive!

I hope you are able to wrap up in this warm and snuggly cardigan, in your own little creative corner, and that it brings you as much inspiration as it did, me.

“Paparde” is Latvian for “fern”. I found myself, inspired, by the seasonal changes from Winter into Spring, and the botanical life that “springs” up as the climate here on the East Coast, becomes warmer. As I began charting out the yoke design of this swoncho, I couldn’t help but notice how the shift of seasons was quickly influencing the design of this pattern. It is a beautiful marriage of geometric and symmetrical shapes, with a very organic and free flowing floral pattern.

TESTER CALL!
I’m looking for group of testers for my Chevron sweater (tmp name).
Sizes available: 36, 40, 44, 48, 52, 56, 60" finished bust circumference with recommended positive ease 8-12" but I don’t mind if you would knit it with your favorite fit.
I used Zooey yarn by @junipermoonfarm lovely cotton/linen mix. You can use any yarn you like if you get the pattern gauge. Testing time - about 4 weeks
Design details: top down, short rows, intarsia, seamed.
