Cat Pattern:
Use G hook and worsted weight yarn.
Head
Row 1: 6 sc in MR
Row 2: 2sc in each st (12 st)
Row 3: 1sc, 2sc in same st, repeat (18st)
Rows 4-9: Sc around (18 st)
Row 10: 1 sc, decrease, repeat (12st)
Stuff head with poly fill.
Row 11: Decrease 6 times (6 st)
Fasten off and sew closed. Turn sideways, sew on black beads for eyes and using black sportweight yarn, embroider nose and mouth.
Ears
In MR, 2 sc, chain 2, make picot by doing a slip stitch into the first of the two chains, and then two more sc in the ring. Tighten ring, fasten off, and leave a tail long enough to sew to head.
Paws
6 sc in magic ring.
Row 1: Sc in each stitch (6 st)
Rows 2-4: Repeat Row 1 (6 st)
Fasten off and leave tail to sew onto stocking.
Assembly
Sew paws to top edge of stocking. Sew ears to top of head. Stuff stocking with poly fill and sew head over top of stocking. Add ribbon for a bow, if you’d like :)

Check it out! We just launched our new Mismash Homestead Sport on the website! This new yarn is a combo of 2 colorways, to make a brand new one. Our Homestead Sport is a 2-ply, so we thought- why not take 2 of our customer favorites, make them each their own ply, and then spin them together?! Y’all ready for our next “Mismash” update this Friday?! It’s been a minute, but we have been cranking out ALL the new color combos, right and left! We have quite a few that will be hitting the shop at 4 PM EST, like this beauty: ✨”Torn” + “Mercury in Retrograde”✨
What are our “Mismash” combos?:
✨They are 2 of our Homestead colors, dyed separately, and then intentionally plied together during the milling process!
What makes them EXTRA special?:
✨Even though we dye every color the same way each time we make it, during the milling process, combining the two colors together creates extra color shifting within skeins and within the project it is being used for.
How do I know I am getting the exact skein I am hoping for when I purchase them?
✨We are now separating all of our Homestead yarns into “batches” within a colorway. Each batch is made up of similar looking skeins, so you know when you order that batch, you are getting exactly what you want! No more “notes at checkout” or “sending emails after your order is placed and hoping we have the skein you want”- now, you know you are getting that perfect skein for your project!

I am having a bit of an existential crisis today. I look at Ravelry and there are literally millions of knitting patterns. Does the knitting world really need any more from myself? My practical mind answers “no” but my heart says “yes!” simply because I love knitting so much. It’s not like I am going to stop knitting, or making up my own patterns since it is so much fun. And then there is yarn, just waiting to be played with, like this stunning trio from @countessablaze that I am going to wind up shortly to knit while I go travelling next week (I am so into greens and blues right now). So I guess I will stick with it for now and shut my inner doubter . If you have read this far, do you ever have doubts about what you do and how much use there is to it? What do you do about it?

I’ve been working on three new designs but unfortunately I can’t show any of them yet as they are not for me but a collaboration which I am very excited about! But I have just knitted a swatch in that pale lilac yarn for the first sweater design of mine. I knitted the swatch in three different needle sizes and unhappy about all of them . So going to undo this swatch and try it in yet another size to get the fabric I want, good thing this yarn is a joy to knit with. .

A little bit of Kefir and relaxing sock knitting before we leave our hotel and set off for our last day in Amsterdam.
