Imagine telling Harry that you’re trapped between Zoom and reaching the time vault…

“Y/n?” Harrison called over the phone. His heart leaping at the sound of your voice. “Y/n, where are you? We need to get out of here now!”

On the other end, you were running through STAR Labs as fast as your legs could go. You were gathering wires and tools that came your way in an effort to be armed.

“I can’t. He’s coming and you need to get inside the vault now.” Your sentence ending with sharp intakes of air. You could just imagine the look of horror on Harrison’s face and you wished that you weren’t the one to add additional worry.

“What? No, you need to come…” Harrison suddenly heard a sound that made his heart fall to the pit of his stomach – the proximity alarm on the computers and a whoosh on the other end of the phone call.

You gasped and hid behind a wall, pressing your back against its cold surface. The electricity spiked in the air even though Zoom was far away. “He’s here.”

Imagine playing a risky game when Zoom attacks Earth-2 Star Labs…

“Henry, lock this place down and evacuate everyone!” Harry demanded, his tension levels rising with the imminent danger.

Henry, confused and worried, stumbled over his feet. It was going to be mayhem and you knew it. Zoom was quicker than the Flash and there was no room for slight error.

A lightbulb burst overhead, frightening scientists who fled and you grabbed Harry’s arm. “I can do it faster from the main grid."

Technically, you were right but Harry shook his head. "Absolutely not.” He turned and started to send instructions to the rest of the team when he felt a tug on his arm.

You placed a hand on his cheek and forced him to look at you. "I’m not asking.“

He didn’t like the idea of you out in the open while Zoom was upon the labs. He was also out of time to argue your stance without endangering all lives. Exhaling heavily, Harry placed a hand over your own and squeezed before passing one parting piece of information.

"Time vault - ten minutes.”

Imagine trying to care for Harry after he’s injured…

You frowned while working the bandage onto Harry’s forehead. A simple task if the man had not been talking and gesturing about how he hated being confused with Eobard Thawne and that it was the reason he was kidnapped.

“We’re two different people! How can your Earth not see the difference?”

Without fail, his bandage slipped from your hold again and you huffed. “Harry.”

Finally, the man paused and you took advantage of his stillness. Taking a small swipe of the antiseptic cream, you smeared it over Harry’s bruise with your thumb before grabbing the bandage and gently sticking it over the injury.

“That should do it.” You told him and stroked his cheek. “By the way, I can see the difference.”

Fandom: The Flash

Relationship: Barry x Platonic!Reader

Prompt: Just got a strike of idea. For the Flash, maybe the reader is a metahuman and she controls nature and she’s just really mellow and the team try and get her to help them but she refuses every time. Is that okay? If there’s no pairing? You could have her be friends with someone on the team if you’d like.

“Hey Joe,” you smiled at the older man as you passed his desk. It was lunch time and you were meeting your best friend, Barry.

“Y/n,” he smiled as he stood up to give you a hug. As you pulled away you handed him a brown paper bag with his lunch and a coffee from the tray you were holding. “Aha this is why you’re my favorite,” you shook your head before heading up to Barry’s office.

You were one of Joe’s honorary kids, seeing as you have been best friends with Barry since before his mom died. You saw Barry sitting in his chair, he was going through some more files.

“Hey, Bartholomew,”  he scowled before looking up at you.

 “You know you are the only person in my life who insists on calling me that.” You smiled placing the brown bag down.

“I’ve earned the right to.”

“How so,” Barry raised his eyebrow at you.

“Coffee,” you replied as you placed his cup on the desk before taking a seat in a rolling chair. “How’s Star Labs?” You kicked your feet up onto his desk. You saw Barry roll his eyes as you dug into the sandwich you made.

“The offer is still up there-”

“Barry-”

“No,Y/N,” he commanded “hear me out.” You sighed and stared at him for a second.

“Okay,” you whispered.

“We need you,” you shook your head.

“No,Barry. I told you I’m not using my powers. It was a mistake.”

“Y/N-”

“No,” you yelled as you stood “Barry, the man who runs that lab made me this way.”

“He’s,” he paused standing in front of you “he’s willing to help you.”

“I’m going to go,” you gathered your purse and walked towards the door.

“Y/N,” Barry called causing you to turn.

“I’m sorry Barry, but I can’t be near that man. Who messed up my life.” You turned around again and headed down the stairs to go home.

Masterlist Part One

Word Count: 3.2K

Check out my pinned post if you want to be on my taglist!

A/N: HAHAHAHA YOU THOUGHT I WOULD LEAVE YOU ALL HANGING LIKE THAT?! I can not stand when things don’t get a proper ending so I had to make one before I even posted part one. This has been sitting in my drafts for a week now, just waiting until the right moment when you all thought that this was never going to happen.

Well guess what?

It did.

In the weeks that passed, you didn’t see Wally. Choosing to return to Gotham for a while, you moved back into the Manor to see the other people you considered family. Like usual, Jason came and went every so often mainly just to say hi to you and the other gremlins walking around now.

Bruce not only adopted you, Dick, Jason, Tim, Cass, and Damian, but now he took in another kid; Duke. Duke was the newest official addition to the Wayne family, with Steph and Barbara almost sisters to you. It had been almost two years since you last actively resided in Wayne Manor, with Duke moving in somewhere in the middle there. Even then, Duke could tell something was up between you and Dick. If Duke could tell, everyone else was painfully aware.

Growing up, you and Dick were attached at the hip. Bruce had gray hairs from all the times he tried to separate the two of you, and now you refused to be in the same room as him. You weren’t sure if he knew you broke up with Wally, not having checked in with either of them to find out.

Knowing you and Dick the second and third-longest, Jason and Tim took it upon themselves with the gentle prodding by Duke, Damian, Cass, and Steph. And by gentle prodding, it was more of an intervention they staged and threatened bodily harm if neither of them managed to fix what was going on with you and Dick.

Having drawn the shortest straw, Jason stood outside your door. Apparently, neither he nor Tim wanted to be the one to confront you about what was going on. Sure Dick had the scarier temper, but you were more likely to throw a fucking chair at their head when provoked.

Maybe it was better Jason drew the short straw; if you threw a chair he would be the one to survive it compared to Tim and his lanky complexion.

Raising his hand to knock, Jason rapped his knuckles against the door twice before waiting on a response. Moments passed and Jason knocked again, this time hearing your voice waft through the crack under the door.

“Go away Tim or I’ll chuck a fucking chair at your head.”

“If the Joker couldn’t kill me, I don’t think a chair would,” he called.

There was silence before you spoke again. “What do you want?”

“Is it so wrong for a guy to want to talk to his big sister?”

“Fine, get your ass in here before I change my mind.”

Jason let out the breath he didn’t know he was holding. Maybe this wasn’t a bad idea. Poking his head in through the door, he watched for any flying objects to come his way before fully entering your room.

From what he could see, you haven’t left it in days. There was a stack of dishes off to the side for when Alfred came and took them to the kitchen. Your bed was unkempt, the curtains closed with clothes and items strewn across it.

“Y/N?” he asked, looking around for you.

Out of the corner of his eye, he saw something move in the shadows and noticed you were curled up in the corner on the floor. Dropping his defensive act, Jason let out a sigh before walking over towards you.

Taking a seat next to you, Jason leaned against the wall and closed his eyes. “So,” he started. “You going to tell me what happened between you and Dickhead or am I going to force it out of you?”

Shrugging, you just curled into the warmth of his body and stayed silent.

“We all know something happened, you won’t even look at him. I’m supposed to be the moody one and right now the two of you are taking my vibe. I need it back.”

That got a reaction out of you. Snorting a laugh, you wiped your eyes. “Oldest daughter rights, I get to take your shit.”

Jason huffed and pulled you close. “Come on, talk to me. I can’t go kick his ass for you if I don’t know what happened.”

Licking your lips, you fiddled with your hands. “How much did you know about me–me and Wally?” you had to force his name out of you without sniffing.

“Wally? Is that what this is about? That ginger idiot?”

“Jason please,” you muttered.

Sensing that you weren’t in a joking mood, Jason cleared his throat. “I knew that you three were all pretty close, but not much more than that. Why?”

Taking a deep breath, you looked towards the window. “Wally and I dated for a couple of months,” you admitted.

Jason was still confused, what did you dating Wally have to do with Dick’s mood?

“And Dick wasn’t happy about it.”

Now Jason was really confused, if you were happy why wasn’t Dick?

As if you could hear his thoughts, you answered his unasked questions. “Dick didn’t approve, said he didn’t trust Wally to date me. He even went as far as giving Wally a choice, me or their friendship. Wally didn’t want to choose–”

Jason watched as you paused for a breath and connected the dots. “So you chose for him.”

Things were starting to make sense, and it’s a good thing he was due for a trip to Bludhaven anyway. Seemed he needed to knock some sense into his dear older brother while he was in town.

Trying not to let his anger out, Jason wrapped his arms around your shoulders and held you while you cried in his jacket. This was fucking ridiculous, of all people Wally was the one Dick didn’t trust with you? He really needed to go down and knock some sense into the both of them, but right now you needed him more and so he stayed.

~~~
Dick sat in his old room in Titans Tower, Bludhaven was too close to Gotham and Midwest City. It felt like he was suffocating between the two cities and needed to get away, hence why he was in Jump City tossing a ball on his bed.
He hadn’t seen you or Wally since the last meeting when he told Wally his reasoning. Dick wasn’t unreasonable, all he wanted was to protect his sister and he couldn’t trust Wally not to hurt you.
What he didn’t expect was the two of you to completely cut contact with him. Maybe he was too harsh, but you were his sister. What else was he supposed to do?
Dick was brought out of his thoughts at the rushed knock on his door. Looking at it quizzically, he knew it couldn’t be any of the other members. The only one still in town right now was Kori and she was downtown shopping, needing some much-needed alone time as she put it.
“It’s open.”
The door swung open and in walked Tim with a very unhappy look on his face.
“Tim what’s going–”
“What the fuck Dick?”
Blinking slowly, Dick sat up on his bed and watched his younger brother continue to glare at him.
“I don’t–”
“You have got to be the biggest idiot I know, and I’m best friends with Bart and Conner.”
Okay, safe to say that one hurt. But what did Dick do that had Tim so pissed at him.
“Making Wally and Y/N choose between each other and you? You have got to be kidding me. What the fuck is wrong with you?”
How did Tim find out about that?
“Jason called and told me after I spent two hours waiting outside your apartment in Bludhaven. Thanks for the note by the way.”
Wait, if Jason knew that meant–
“Y/N told him what happened, and you’re lucky you’re all the way out here or Jason would be kicking your ass into a grave.”
“Tim, you don’t understand,”
Tim scoffed. “Oh please, tell me what I do not understand about your ruining Y/N’s relationship because you didn’t approve?”
When he put it that way, it made Dick sound like a complete asshole.
“Wally is notorious for playing women, I didn’t want her to get hurt.”
“Oh, like how you can come across sometimes?” Tim snapped. “She broke up with him by the way, to save your fucking friendship and make you happy.”
Dick sat there in silence, was it true you really broke up with Wally because of him? Could that be why you’ve been avoiding him recently? Slumping where he sat, Dick was lost in thought.
If he got what he wanted, then why wasn’t he happy?
“It takes a special kind of asshole to ruin their sister’s relationship because you weren’t happy with it.”
Did Tim really have to word it like that? But he had a point, what kind of asshole does that to his own sister? He should have seen what his behavior was doing to not just her but–
No fuckign wonder Wally stopped talking to him. Dick really fucked this up, not only did he push away his sister but his best friend and there was a good chance neither of them was going to forgive him.
Dropping his head in his hands, Dick let out a sigh. He had to fix this and fast before it was too late.
Tim watched as Dick sprung up from the bed with a new look of determination, and crossed his arms.
“Tim, I’ve gotta go fix this.”
“Well, as luck would have it Wally just walked in the front doors. I don’t think he knows you’re here, or he would have walked around the building until you left.”
“How the hell do you know that?”
“Because I’m smart enough to know not to ruin my sibling’s relationships.”
“Harsh.”
“You kind of deserve it.”
Dick didn’t disagree. Deciding to not push his luck and hug Tim, Dick instead took off for the lower floors hoping to catch Wally before he picked up on the fact Dick was there. Running down the halls, he smashed the elevator button desperate to make it move faster.
Hearing it, the doors opened oh-so-slowly to reveal Wally was waiting inside.
Seeing Dick stare at him with a shocked look, Wally quickly pushed the close button but not before Dick stood in the doorway.
“Wally listen–”
“No, I’m done fucking listening to you, Dick. Did you know Y/N heard every word you said to me? She broke up with me so I wasn’t the one to hurt her so you wouldn’t kick my ass. Now she won’t answer my calls or texts, and it’s all your fucking fault.”
Dick held the doors apart, refusing to let his friend leave. “I know! I know I was an ass! Neither of you deserved that, I honestly can’t excuse how I behaved. I just want Y/N to be happy and I was too fucking protective to see that you made her happy.”
Wally stood there with narrowed eyes, listening to Dick’s words.
“No amount of sorry’s can ever express how bad I feel, or take back what I said to you. Walls, we’re supposed to be best friends and I wasn’t a very good one when you needed me to be and for that, I am really sorry.”
Dick watched Wally with a hopeful expression, he knew it was a long shot for Wally to forgive him, let alone accept his apology but he had to try.
Wally chewed his lip. The whole protective big brother thing was something Wally understood until recently he thought the way he was protective of you was because he too saw you as a little sister. Unbeknownst to him, it was because he’s been in love with you since you were kids.
Letting out a sigh, Wally dropped his head. “I accept your apology. But it’s going to take a shit ton of groveling and plenty of Alfred’s cooking before I even think about forgiving you.”
Dick let the faintest of smiles form on his lips. It may not have been the best-case scenario, but it was better than Wally telling Dick he never wanted to see him again.
“But you have more than just me to apologize to.”
“I was actually going to ask if you wanted to come with me, I want to fix what I messed up.”
“Dick, I don’t even know if she’ll take me back.”
Giving him a look, Dick raised a brow. “If you love her as much as you say you do, she will. It might just take some convincing.”
Wally clicked his tongue and stepped to the side. “Alright fine, let’s go.” Looking out behind Dick, he saw Tim standing there with an expectant look on his face. Waving, he saw Tim crack a smile seeing their friendship was on the mend.
An hour later, Dick and Wally stood outside the door to your bedroom. Both weren’t all that excited about seeing you, but for different reasons. Wally was worried you’d reject him, and Dick was worried you’d maim him.
Letting out a sigh, Dick finally raised his hand to knock. “Y/N? You in there?”
“What do you fucking think?” a voice said behind them.
Dick and Wally whirled around to see Jason was standing there with a tray of small sandwiches and iced tea no doubt made by Alfred.
Dick rubbed the back of his head. “Okay, fair point.” he muttered. “Jay, I need to apologize.”
“Yeah, you definitely do. I’m guessing you two patched things up because Wally isn’t strangling you.”
“I think he’s done being a dick, don’t you?” Wally asked, giving Dick a look.
“My days of meddling with my siblings’ relationships are over.”
“About fucking time.” Jason muttered.
Before Dick could say a word, Jason handed him the plate of sandwiches. “If you’re going to apologize, you’re going to need some leverage so she doesn’t try to kill you.”
Taking the plate, Dick looked at them both before slowly entering your room.
“Y/N? I come with a peace offering.”
“You can take your peace offering and shove it up your ass.”
Dick hid his amusement, before stepping closer. “Y/N, I’m sorry. I was an ass, I was more than an ass. I was a dick to my sister and my best friend because I was so worried you would get hurt.”
You kept your back to him, refusing to turn.
“Like I told Wally, I know it’s no excuse for what I did and I don’t expect you to forgive me. But I want to fix what I broke.”
Hearing the last bit out of his mouth, you let an expression of confusion form on your face. What does he mean ‘fix’?
Letting out a sigh, you turned to see Dick there with a plate of cucumber sandwiches and iced tea. Dick must really be trying to suck up because he hated cucumber sandwiches. Raising a brow at him, you crossed your arms.
“Is this your way of apologizing? Giving me food and tea?”
Dick gave you a sheepish smile and rubbed the back of his neck. “Is it working?”
No matter how pissed you were, you couldn’t hate Dick forever. You knew when Dick was being sincere, and this was one of those moments. His body language was open, towards you as if he was asking for a hug, anything to show that you still cared and wanted your older brother around.
His eyes said it all though. You could see the apology, the remorse and all in the way he looked at you.
You wanted to accept his apology, he was your brother after all; but you gave up one of the most important people in your lives because of him. That wasn’t something easily forgotten, or forgiven.
As if Dick could hear your thoughts, he set the tray down. “I know it’s hard to make up for what I did, but maybe this will help?”
At his words another person walked into your room, his presence lighting up the space as if he was the sun.
Wally stood there with a dorky smile on his face as he looked at you, with no trace of malice or any negative feelings towards you.
“Hey,”
“Six weeks and all you have to say to me is ‘Hey’?”
Wally laughed and stepped forward, taking your hands in his. “If you stop interrupting me, maybe I’d get to say more.”
“I’m a bat. We’re notorious for interrupting people, especially speedsters.”
Moving to cup your face, Wally stroked your cheek with his thumb. “I don’t mind, I like when you–”
True to your word, you interrupted Wally by kissing him. Shocked only for a moment, Wally soon pulled you closer and wrapped his arms around you. Having you in his arms felt so right, like the missing piece of him was finally back and he could be whole again.
Wally was your better half, he kept you out of trouble all while getting into it at the same time.
Dick cleared his throat, making the two of you pull apart and give him a look.
“Like I said, we bats like to interrupt people.” you muttered.
“Do you need something Dick? We’re kind of in the middle of something.” Wally said, raising a brow.
“Not that this isn’t touching and all, but does this mean I’m forgiven?”
You couldn’t ignore the hopeful look on his face, praying that he managed to fix your relationship or at least put it on the mend.
Tapping your chin, you gave him a pensive look. “Cover my chores for a month and then we’ll talk.”
“If you think making me do your chores will–”
“Dick, I think it’s best you just stop talking.” Jason called from the doorway where Tim stood with him watching the scene. “Who knows what other stupid shit you’ll say.” he grinned.
Pursing his lips, Dick gave Jason and now Tim, who was snickering, a look. “You know what, fuck you.”
“Ouch, I’m wounded.” Tim deadpanned.
“You want wounded Timbertha? I can show you wounded.” Jason’s eyes had a malicious look in them like he was planning the perfect torture for Tim right then and there.
“I think kicking my ass and beating me half to death is good enough for me, thanks.”
“Why you little–”
“If the three of you don’t mind,” you called, “I am trying to make up with my boyfriend. Now get lost!”
Jason, Tim and Dick all gave each other a look before shrugging and staying where they stood. “Now, I don’t think we will.” Tim teased.
Wally looked at the three of them, then at you and shrugged. “Fine by me, just make sure you close the door.”
“Wally wha–”
Cutting off your words, Wally kissed you deeply, moving his hands down to grip your thighs. Melting into the kiss, you jumped on command and wrapped your legs around his waist.
“Yeah, I’m leaving.”
“Right behind you.”
“I need to bleach my eyes please and thank you.”
Hearing the door click, Wally broke the kiss and looked at you with a grin. “Well that got them to leave,”
Raking your fingers through his hair, you gave the strands a light tug making Wally groan against your shoulder.
“Good, because we have lost time to make up for.”
Kissing him again, you felt Wally carry you to your bed and lay you on it softly. “I love you Y/N, and nothing is ever going to change that, especially no dumb overly protective brothers.”
“I love you too, Wally.”
You and Dick stared each other down. Having grown up together, you knew all his tells and ticks and you could tell he was pissed. You couldn’t be raised by the World’s Greatest Detective with nothing to show for it.
Dick’s fingers tapped the table as his eyes refused to leave yours. Any other person would think that Dick was fine with his laid-back posture, direct gaze, and his signature smirk on his face. But you knew better. His steely gaze held you trapped in the chair you sat on, and you could see he was biting his tongue because his jaw was so tense.
“Are you gonna sit there and stare or actually say a word or two?”
Dick’s façade broke for a second before he huffed a laugh and leaned back in the chair.
“What do you want me to say?” his eyes flit to the door that had someone waiting behind it, Dick just didn’t know who.
“Oh, I don’t know,” you shrugged. “Maybe a ‘Gee sis! I’m glad you found someone that makes you happy!’ or a “Holy Boyfriend Batman!’ or a sign that you are the least bit happy for me?”
Dick sighed, of course, he was happy for you. All he wanted was for you to find someone who loved you for who you are and treasure you like you should be. It’s just, he knew no one was ever going to be good enough not for you and not by his standards.
He’s watched you get your heart broken more times than he could count, hoping to shield you away from the pain of loving someone only for them to not love you back. His biggest worry was that you would fall completely in love, only for the person to decide they didn’t love you anymore.
“I’m happy.”
You pursed your lips. “Yeah, I can feel the excitement just roll off you.” Looking out the window to your apartment, you sighed. “Do you at least want to know who I’m dating? Maybe that will put your mind at ease?”
“Sure, bring him in.”
“I’m not gonna bother asking how you knew he was behind the door.”
Dick laughed for the first time since you told him you have a boyfriend. “Maybe because we were raised by the same guy, and observe a lot more than the average human should?”
You rolled your eyes and stopped by the door. “Just promise me you won’t freak out?”
Waving his hand with a huff, Dick looked around. “Who said that I would ever–”
Dick’s words were cut short by the sight of the guy who walked through the door. Immediately his playful attitude changed and the air got tense again. Didn’t he just fucking say the day before his sister was off-limits?
“What the fuck is this?”
“Now Dick–”
“Oh don’t you ‘Now Dick,” me.” he snapped. “What the fuck Wally!? My sister!?”
Wally shrunk back slightly from the volume of Dick’s voice. “I know. I know you said your sister was off-limits, but–”
“I swear to God if you say you two were already dating I’ll–”
“You’ll what Dick?” you frowned. “Murder your best friend? Yeah, because that’s a smart idea. Kill one of the only people who can stand to be around you.”
Dick’s face got hot, clenching his fists, he stared you down. “We need to talk. Now.”
Wally moved to open his mouth before Dick held a finger out to stop him, his eyes not leaving yours. “Alone.”
With a sigh, Wally let your hand side out of his before dropping his head. “I’ll uh, I’ll just be outside okay?” he said. “Just holler if you need me.”
“Alright,” you smiled, watching him walk out the door not immune to the burning of Dick’s gaze in the back of your head.
The room was silent for a moment as Wally left, neither you nor Dick saying a word. It wasn’t until you were both sure that he was out of earshot did you finally turn to look at him again.
“I told you not to date my friends.”
“I clearly didn’t listen.”
“Yeah, because that’s your forte.”
“You’re one to talk Mr. I’m Going to Run Away and Not Tell Anyone and Go Make Myself a Fucking Team Because My Dad Hurt My Feelings?”
“You followed me two weeks later!”
“Because no one else was going to drag your stupid ass back home!”
Both you and Dick were in each other’s faces now. He was being ridiculous, Wally was his best friend. Why was he so against you dating him?
“I thought you’d be happy for me.”
“Yeah, until I realized you were dating Wally.”
Crossing your arms, you tilted your head. “And what’s so bad about that exactly?”
Dick clamped his mouth shut. He’s known Wally for years, and he’s seen him with every other girl he’s dated. Some of them ended mutually, but Wally was known for being a bit of a player jumping from one person to the next, just trying to have fun while he could.
It’s not that Dick hated him for that, he was glad Wally was getting to be a normal adult in a sense with the superspeed and all. But he didn’t want his sister getting roped into it, and getting her heartbroken because his best friend couldn’t be satisfied.
He couldn’t tell you that the guy you were dating was one of the best people he knew, but was also an asshole at times.
“Wally isn’t good for you.” was all he managed to say. Dick couldn’t break your heart, but he also couldn’t let his best friend break it either. He wasn’t sure if he could forgive him for that, especially after Dick told him to stay away from you.
You scoffed. Dick has the audacity to tell you what was and wasn’t good for you? His track record of relationships wasn’t exactly the best, but you didn’t say something to every other person he tried to date.
You respected his decisions, so why couldn’t he respect yours?
“If it’s my approval you want, I’m not giving it,” he said. “I never wanted Wally to date you and I still don’t. You want someone’s approval, go ask Barry or something.”
Without saying another word, Dick walked out the door passing Wally as he made his way to the exit. Not sparing either of you another glance, he left slamming the door shut behind him.
Turning to each other, you gave Wally a look. “I think he took it well,”
Wally huffed a laugh and walked towards you. Wrapping his arms around your waist, he leaned down and pressed a kiss to your forehead. “He’ll come around, it’s Dick. He can’t stay upset for long.”
You buried your face in his chest and heaved a sigh. You hoped he was right, Dick was known for his dazzling personality and quick ways to forgive but you knew how he could hold a grudge. Not many people knew just how mean Dick could be, and how petty he acted when upset. But that was because he never let anyone see that side of him if he could help it; an act he perfected at a young age.
“I love you Y/N,” he said into your hair.
“I love you too, Wally.”
~~~

Like you feared, Dick didn’t come around to the idea of you and Wally as a couple. You couldn’t blame Wally for having faith in his best friend not being an asshole, but you knew Dick. It took him a while to let things go.

Walking into the meeting room hand in hand with Wally, you looked around to see every other member of the Titans there: Roy, Donna, Garth, Kori, Rachel, Garfield, and even Kyle decided to stop by. Of course, a few people were missing, but they were all adults by this point with lives of their own. Not everyone could just drop what they were doing to come to a team meeting.

However, it was the person sitting across the room from you that caught your attention. Dick was sitting so still that you almost didn’t notice he was there. You caught the way his gaze was lingering on yours and Wally’s joined hands, and immediately you gripped Wally’s hand tighter.

Narrowing your eyes, you glared at Dick as if daring him to say something in front of all these people. It had been a week, sure he didn’t approve but you thought he would have been past this behavior by this point.

Not bothering to say a word, Dick got up and walked out of the room.

Everyone watched as he left, aware that something had happened but only Roy knew what was wrong. Giving the two of you a side-eyed look, he watched as your expression faltered before putting up the signature Wayne smile and beginning to greet everyone around you.

Wally stayed rooted to his spot, crossing his arms over his chest. Catching Roy’s eye, he knew he needed to do something. As much as you said you didn’t need it, not having Dick’s approval was eating you up on the inside.

Wally knew how close you and Dick were, but this level of protection was getting ridiculous.

Barely able to listen to the meeting, Wally sat by your side deep in thought. He didn’t really miss anything that important, and he had you to fill him in on things he missed. His thoughts were occupied by the conversation he was going to have with his best friend.

Once the meeting was over, Wally kissed your cheek. “Hey, I’ll be right back. I’ve got some things to do before we head home okay?”

Looking up at him as he stood, you nodded. “Alright, I’ll see you back at my place.”

Wally gave you one last kiss before walking out of the room.

Be right back, my ass. You knew better. Wally couldn’t pull anything past you, you had one of the sharpest minds in the world, second only to Bruce, and Dick. You knew he was going to do something, and you had a really good guess as to what it was.

Getting to your feet, you quietly followed Wally as he made his way down the hall no doubt in the search for Dick. Making sure to keep your steps silent, you watched as Wally poked his head into the room and sighed before entering it.

Quickly, you ran over and sat outside with your ear to the door listening in on their conversation.

“Dick, you nee–”

“I don’t want to do this right now, Wally.” Dick interrupted.

Wally crossed his arms with a frown. “No, we’re doing this now. Can’t you see what you’re doing is hurting Y/N?” he said. “You’re right, we were already dating when you told me that she was off-limits. But what was I supposed to do? I already knew I loved her by that point.”

“You’re one to talk about love.” Dick scoffed.

Dropping his jaw, Wally looked at his friend in astonishment. “Okay, first of all, who pissed in your bat-cheerios this morning? Was it Condiment King?”

Dick didn’t look the least bit amused at his comment.

“Second of all, you can’t even pretend to be happy for her sake? Forget about me, you’re seriously going to brood every time you see one of us because God forbid we do something you don’t approve of?”

Again, Dick stayed silent.

Wally frowned. “And you say you want to be nothing like Bruce.”

At that, Dick finally looked at his friend with a look strong enough to make anyone cower. Wally had to stop himself from visibly flinching at how angry Dick looked, yet another thing he inherited from Bruce.

“Fine. You want to know why?” Dick snapped, rising to his feet to stare down his friend. “How about we go ask every ex of yours that you dropped and see what they have to say.”

“Y/N isn’t like any of those girls, I know what I feel for her is real, Dick.”

“You once said that about Linda and Artemis.”

“I was a teenager Dick! Are you really going to hold that against me?”

“When it comes to my sister, yes!”

Wally walked up to Dick and glared. “Why don’t you say what’s really on your mind Dick? What’s the real reason you don’t want me dating Y/N?”

“Because I don’t fucking trust you with my sister!” Dick shouted. “There! I said it! Is that what you wanted!?”

Wally was stunned into silence at Dick’s honesty. Did he really feel that way about him? Surely there was no way Wally had that bad of a record with women that Dick refused to let him date you.

Stumbling back a step, Wally blinked slowly. There were only a few times he had seen Dick this angry, this expressive with his anger but none of them were aimed at him. Being on the receiving end of it scared him, he could see why the rogues of Gotham and Bludhaven were scared of Nightwing.

Taking a deep breath, Wally chewed his lip. “I’m sorry I made you feel that you can’t trust me with Y/N, but I’m not sorry that I fell for her. I can’t just change how I feel because you don’t like it. I knew you could be an ass at times, but this is a whole other fucking level Dick.” he spat. “If you’re going to make me choose between our friendship and my relationship with Y/N, you can forget we were ever friends in the first place.”

You heard footsteps walking towards the door and quickly you ducked into a nearby closet, making sure to keep the door cracked.

Watching through the crack in the door, you watched as Wally slammed the door open and walked down the hall most likely in search of you.

It was only a few moments later you saw Dick storm out and go in the opposite direction. If he wasn’t so pissed, he probably would have noticed you were snooping around.

Finally, alone, you slumped to the floor and stared at the boxes across from you. Dick really didn’t trust Wally? Did he think you needed to be protected that badly that he was willing to throw away more than a decade of friendship? You commended Dick for his big brother instincts, but you were a grown adult. He couldn’t be making these decisions for you, but you couldn’t just stand by and watch the two closest people to you suffer because of a choice you made.

After a moment, you rose to your feet and walked out of Titans Tower and down the street to your apartment. The possibility of Wally already there and waiting for you was high, your stomach twisting into knots at that thought. What were you going to say to him? The second you walked through that door it’d be obvious you were bothered by something. Wally didn’t have to be a detective to figure out how much you probably heard.

The walk home was quicker than you wanted, not giving you much time to figure out what to do. It was your own damn apartment, and yet you couldn’t convince yourself to open the door and let yourself in.

Maybe it was because you were scared of the condition you’d find Wally in. Taking a deep breath, you opened the door only to be thrown into a tight hug from your boyfriend.

“Where the hell have you been? I thought you went straight home!” Wally held you tightly to his chest, checking you over for any injuries. “You weren’t mugged or anything?”

The overprotective, worrying boyfriend as always.

Shaking your head, you looked at the ground. “No, I just– I had something to take care of before I came back.”

Glancing around, there was a box or two hidden away full of Wally’s things. Amongst all the drama, you forgot that Wally was going to move in with you. Even after what you heard, Wally was still planning on staying with you.

Wally could see something was wrong, cupping your face he made you look up at him. “Babe, what’s wrong?”

Looking into his eyes, you could see the concern. How could he care so much for you after the ultimatum Dick gave him? No matter what option you took, someone was going to get hurt. But if Dick was happy and Wally kept his friend, you would make the decision for him.

Grabbing his wrists, you pulled his hands off you and stepped back. “Wally, we can’t keep doing this.”

“Can’t keep doing what? Babe, you aren’t making any sense.”

“Us. We can’t do this, not if it means you lose Dick.”

Recognition flashed across Wally’s face as he dropped his head with a sigh. “You heard everything, didn’t you?”

You nodded. “Wally–” you swallowed back the lump in your throat. “If we do this, we’ll both lose him. I know Dick, he isn’t going to let this go any time soon.”

“Y/N, if I hurt you he won’t forgive me,” he said, trying to pull you closer to him.

“I know,” you muttered. “That’s why I’m breaking up with you.”

“That’s–”

“Wally, please.” you pleaded, stepping back again. You couldn’t look at him, the second you do you would be pulled back in and have to start this all over again. “Don’t make this any harder than it has to be.”

Staying silent, Wally just stared. You were serious, you were breaking up with him to save his friendship with Dick.

“Y/N, this whole self-sacrificial bullsh–”

“Dammit, Wally! Can you just do what I fucking ask and get out of here!?” you shouted. “Leave! We’re over, this is it so you can stop trying to change my mind!”

Walking past him, you shrugged off his hand that tried to stop you.

“Just get your stuff and get the fuck out of here.”

For a while you heard nothing, but then there was the quiet shuffling of feet and cardboard before hearing the door click. Turning to make sure Wally was gone, you finally let the tears fall you’ve been holding back with the choked sobs.

Wally was gone, but it was better this way for everyone. Right?

MASTERLIST

“Move..” Y/N pushed Barry out of her way to the trash can to empty its contents. Barry pulled her hair back and gently rubbed circles on her lower back, encouraging her to get it all out. Groaning, she straightened her posture and wiped her mouth using the sleeve of her jumper, hating the fact that her friend saw her throw up the bacon and eggs she had for breakfast.

“You okay?” The speedster could clearly see that she’s barely able to keep a straight face and that bothered him. Barry rolled the chair over and eased her to sit down, slowly pushing the trash can closer to her in case she needed to throw up again.

“This is the fourth day I’ve seen you like this. What’s going on, are you sick?”

“No, no, it’s probably just what I ate today.” She tried to brush him off but he saw through her lies and he wasn’t dropping it until she told him what’s going on.

“You are aware that I can tell when you’re lying to me right?”

“Screw you Allen.” Barry smirked as she reached into her bag in search of something to show him. She retrieved a small envelope and handed it over to him. Y/N anxiously chewed on her bottom lip as she waited to see his reaction to the photos in his possession. His furrowed eyebrows shot up in surprise once the realization set in.

“You’re pregnant?!”

“Shhhh!” Y/N panicked, looking around to make sure that it’s only them in the cortex at the moment. Barry was excited about his friend’s pregnancy but his excitement dimmed a bit seeing that she wasn’t as excited as he was about all this.

“You’re not excited, why are you not excited?”

“Barry, I am terrified about this pregnancy.” Barry pulled the other chair to sit in front of her and took her hands in his. Y/N tightened her grip on his hand trying her best to not get too emotional about her predicament.

“Hey, hey…talk to me."

"I can’t do this on my own. I’m not even sure if I’m going to be a good mom, hell I don’t even know if I’m ready for this. Bar I got knocked up by a one night stand who doesn’t want anything to do with me or this baby.” Barry wiped away her tears with the pad of his thumb, his blood boiled in his veins upon hearing that the man neglected his responsibility and he wanted nothing more than to run over to the man’s house to kick his ass.

“Breathe with me, in and out.” Y/N followed his lead to get her to calm down, she was having a hard time breathing as she panicked over the thoughts of how badly things could go wrong.

“If you do decide to keep it I know you’re going to be an incredible mother and who said that you’re gonna do this alone? I’m here and I’m not going to leave you to do this alone. Plus you’ve got Cisco, Caitlin, Iris and Joe to help out from time to time."

"I don’t even know if I want to keep it and I have limited time to decide on thatoption."

"Whatever you decide, you have my support but do what you think is best.”

“Thank you, Bar.”

Barry kissed her cheek and pulled her in for a hug, smiling as she nuzzled her nose into the crook of his neck. There was nothing in this world that he wouldn’t do for her because he knew that she’d be there for him no matter what.
