before dating neo , you probably met him and instantly fell for him on the nebuchadnezzar . you really didn’t want to be with him just for the looks , though . so throughout missions , you made it your duty to get to know him .
neo also got to know you too ! he fell for your looks and cute personality , but as soon as he fully trusted you and knew your intentions , he learned that he was completely in love with you .
you had to ask him out first since he was too much of a chicken . morpheus may or may not have teased him for this , which neo will probably never live down .
the first date is in a simulation that you may or may not have forced mouse to make .
honestly , the nebuchadnezzar really isn’t that cute , so you kind of had no choice . mouse didn’t really mind anyways . i mean , he looks like he really admires neo—
it was a nice little candle light dinner ! neo was of course a gentle man the whole time . you swore mouse would make sure none of the others knew , but that didn’t stop trinity from taking a tiny peak .
during nights where he can’t sleep , he probably shares your bed . no sexual actions occur , it’s just the two of you having meaningful and jokingly dumb conversations at like , one a.m.
he will definitely want to be on missions that you go on . he can’t help it . neo is just scared for your well being like that .
if you almost die during a mission , he will absolutely get in an argument with you . you end up making a bunch of promises that neo will always remind you of .
neo is always going to want to be the big spoon . he would be fine with being the little spoon , but the thought of you being in his arms is a thought that he really loves . bonus points if he gets to play with your hair as you guys spoon . it’s just really calming for him .
he spars with you in simulations ! partially to make sure that you can take care of yourself , and partially because he just wants to spend time with you no matter what . mouse and the others watch the sparring , and are pleasantly surprised when you kick your boyfriend’s ass . he is a bit embarrassed about that …
“uh, good job [n/n], but your opponents won’t trip up like me.”
“well,maybe you shouldn’t have been so cocky.”
expect him to try and get you little gifts . out of missions and training simulations , he will definitely try and find you cool stuff . you talked about a super cute lava lamp ? he’s gonna stop hanging out with you to find it . you said something about missing your rubics cube from your childhood ? he’s scavenging for it right now as we speak .
he loves to tease and flirt with you occasionally . sometimes in front of the others , sometimes not . he doesn’t do it all the time , but when it happens , your heart is melting . one time after he won in the simulation against you , you probably will never forget his confident remarks .
“if you want, i’ll let you win at other things, y’know~”
he reads to you ! when he scavenges for trinkets for you , he also finds raggedy books that look interesting , which prompts him to ask to read it to you at night . he just knocks on your door , says that he “can’t sleep” with the book in his hands , and you already know what’s gonna happen .
though no matter how busy your days are on the ship , he definitely will find some way to make time for you .
