Lots of news all at once cos I’ve been a bit crap lately

Christmas TV

As previously mentioned, Anna’s playing the President of StuffCo in The Last Dragonslayer on Christmas day

In addition to that role, Anna also is also appearing in the Grantchester Christmas Special on Christmas Eve. She is playing Aunt CeCe. There’s more information here, but no photos or trailer yet.

Snow Queen Radio Interviews

Anna’s been discussing Portobello Panto’s production of The Snow Queen on radio shows this week.

On BBC Radio Five Live Afternoon Edition on 6 December (interview beings about 2 hours 40 minutes in)

And on 7 December with Jo Good on BBC Radio London (interview beings about 14 minutes in)

BTW, there’s still standing tickets available for the Snow Queen. And there’s also a crowdfunding campaign running at the moment to help pay for sets, costumes and feeding the kids involved.

This Beautiful Fantastic

Also, news is that This Beautiful Fantastic will be released in cinemas in early 2017 (no solid dates yet). You can watch the trailer here.

“The Portobello Panto was conceived of an idea borne way back in the year of our Lord 1991 in the hu

“The Portobello Panto was conceived of an idea borne way back in the year of our Lord 1991 in the humble surroundings of the Portobello Star pub by Anna Chancellor and a few other reprobates. The first show was to be called ‘Drinkerella’ – a name which unfortunately fell foul of sponsors, and was changed back to the only slightly less offensive ‘Cinderella’.” (x)

Tickets are on sale for The Portobello Pantomime’s production of The Snow Queen which Anna is directing this year. It’s running from 14-17 December at the Tabernacle in Notting Hill.

Profits are going to The Shepherd’s Bush Families Project and Solace Women’s Aid

the recent problems with my husband’s healt inspire me to make a study about The Snow Queen. I dreamed this color palette and i think it’s pretty interesting the effect. Hope you like it, this is the first one, but i’ll publish a whole series of illustrations about this fairy tale.

Since Facebook keeps showing me ads for it, I have this and only this to say about Disney’s up-coming film Frozen: I really like The Snow Queen. Lapps. Fins. Gratuitous religious symbolism. Talking flowers. Talking crows. Talking motherfucking REINDEER. Boy doesn’t save girl from physical peril, girl saves boy from MORAL AND EXISTENTIAL PERIL. By literally CRYING ALL OVER HIM. You’re going to have a hard time not fucking this one up for me, Disney.
