This is good moment to remind everyone who’s following me;

Please do not repost my art!

I know I don’t have an account on some platforms (for very specific reasons!) but that does not make it okay to go post my art on my behalf. Seeing people like my art and leave nice comments is literally the only thing I gain from making art, and by reposting you are taking that joy of creation away! That’s my creative juice! I feed on that to give you goodies in return!

Even if I did have a monetary gain, reposting does not benefit me.

If you wish for more people to see someone’s original art or fanart, promote the artist instead! How?

Badabing badaboom. Post that! ^
As pictured above, a screenshot of a post or a pinned tweet that shows who I am, where to find me and what kind of art I do.

This way, people can go ‘ooh this one looks interesting I’ll go take a look’ instead of ‘I’ll leave a comment and a like. the artist will never know I loved it.’

Those likes on your repost would promote me on the platforms that I am on, and thus the algorithm would be more inclined to work in my favour. I’m not on just one platform or one where you’d need an account to view it, I am fairly accessible! You can take a pick on which post to screenshot!

If you have reposted my art, kindly take it down and promote me in other ways. Be nice and I’ll be more inclined to share! It’ll be a win-win, I promise.

Public Service Announcement

PSA: stop making your favorite songs couple songs, if you break up your going to hate the song afterwards. It`s not worth it, find new songs that way you can keep your favorite songs even if you break up.

Saw a double-crested cormorant with avian flu today :( It’s been devastating for Chicagoland waterfowl, one of our endangered piping plover couple died recently and I wouldn’t be surprised if it was also that.

Please remove your feeders/birdbaths! Don’t provide spaces for sick birds to congregate.

if I catch any of you baby commies glorifying the Soviet Union y'all better be ready to catch those hands

i’m gonna sound like such a parent saying this but holy SHIT kids are online too much. i mean like literal children. my eight year old sister is sitting at the dinner table making faces into tiktok filters! when i was eight i was still learning how to use the monkey bars at the playground! some kids are WAY too young to be on social media. or online in general. go outside! be a kid while you can!

I’d like to make a quick PSA about Ao3 bookmarks.

I’ve seen lots of posts about commenting etiquette, and what you should and should not put in a comment on someone’s fic including unasked for constructive criticism, negativity, and insults, but I haven’t seen many that expand this discussion to bookmark tags.

FUN FACT! In spite of the way ao3 sets up bookmarks to look like recommendations, they should not be treated like Yelp reviews! It is very easy and often common for an author to check the bookmarks on their own work, and public tags are easily visible. It is no different to bookmark a work with public tags than it is to leave a comment so

DONT SAY ANYTHING IN A PUBLIC BOOKMARK TAG THAT YOU WOULDNT SAY IN A COMMENT.

If you want to remind yourself of your personal thoughts on a story, you can make a private, hidden bookmark. If you think your middling, criticizing review is absolutely crucial to pass on to your followers, do it somewhere the author cannot easily find it.

Basically—be courteous. If you didn’t know before that your bookmark tags were visible, now you know. Don’t leave rude comments where hardworking authors can see them.

Thanks

I swear if i see anyone posting the leaked bible of season 5 of Miraculous here, im gonna report you and block you.

There’s one thing sharing spoilers, there’s another to post illegal leaked information.
