Food of the day: Banquet Burger 

A classic for burgers from fran’s. One of my favourite things about burgers is the toppings you can add to it, and nothing is more classic than the banquet burger with its cheddar cheese and crispy bacon. But as you see in this photo, the burger was actually really dry, and as much as cheese and bacon works really well with burgers, a bite into this burger feels almost tasteless as each ingredient for some reason does not go with each other. A major disappointment for me that day. It was however a really busy day so maybe that’s why.

Whipped Cream (for a 1 pint whipping canister)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup regular whipping cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 tbsp powdered sugar

Instructions

  • Pour all ingredients into your 1 pint canister. Screw in one N20 charger and shake vigorously

  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Instructions:

Whip together ingredients until fluffy.

Chicago guys are always like did you really just put ketchup on that hot dog instead of minced garlic, sesame seeds, relish, Polish sausage bits, coleslaw, frosting, pasta sauce, potato wedges, a quarter cup of chocolate chips, grilled sport peppers, celery salt, almond extract, mayo, lettuce, cheese, EXTRA ONION, a shot of malort, whole tomato, mustard, pickle spears, and a little hat from Portillo’s?
