I know most of us have had to modify our regular Halloween plans due to the pandemic, but I am still celebrating with my boyfriend! We decided to make snacks and watch spooky movies all night.

This photo was taken on my trip to Salem last year. We went a day or two after Halloween so most of the crowds were gone and it was perfect! It was super cool to see the Hocus Pocus house and find out its literally right on the water! who knew!!!!

What’s one place you hope to visit when it’s safe to travel again?

I have a lot of places on my list but I am really hoping to make it to Japan as soon as possible! I had planned an entire trip before Covid ruined it and now I really just hope to be able to make it there one day soon!! I also miss NYC and all of the good restaurants and all of my friends who live there. this is the longest ive gone without visiting new york in 14 years and there isnt even an end to the pandemic in sight

What’s the longest drive you’ve ever been on? For me, it’s a tie between 2 different roadtrips. Once I drove from Arizona to Tennessee which was about 27 hours total and more recently I drove from South Dakota back home to Knoxville which took around 24 hours!

I dont mind long trips like this and sometimes prefer them to the hustle and bustle of a long day in an airport (only sometimes though ) I think I often romanticize these trips because some of my favorite books, like the darkest minds and on the road, are centered around being in a car for long periods of time. I think mine would be my trip to South Dakota with my boyfriend. Actually any time i spend with @kmoon707 is a bright spot for me, but especially that trip.

As a kid, one of my favorite movies was Richie Rich starring Macaulay Culkin. It was filmed in the town I was born in, which was very exciting for me at the time. One of my favorite scenes from the movie is the part where they’re in the vault at Mt. Richmore (the movie version of Mt. Rushmore) which is why South Dakota has always been a bucket list place for me. This year, on my birthday, I finally got to check it off the list!

This photo was taken on a short hike off of Needles Highway, which was incredible to see in person. Not sure if anyone noticed but ive been doing quite a bit of social distancing this year - and not just the coronavirus kind. I decided that I wanted to focus on being more present in my day to day life in 2020 because i was feeling very burnt out on this whole social media thing. Most of you know that I started creating content for the bookish world several years ago and since then ive held myself to impossible standards. Creating new content every single day for YEARS and it finally caught up with me. I started to hate what I was putting out into the world and let it take me to a really bad place mentally so for the sake of me and my creativity i decided to stop letting social media take priority in my life. This little tolerance break did wonders for me and although im not ready to dive back in 100% of the way, i am ready to dip my toes! So expect periodic content from here on out!!!! who inspired your love of reading?

For me, it would be my grandmother. She was a voracious reader and always made sure i had as many books as i wanted. She passed away 2 days after my birthday and its been really rough. When i was approached by #KnoxvilleVoyager to do an interview a out my love for reading, I knew it would be the perfect way to honor her. What do you like to do on a day when you are completely free (of work, chores, everything)?
My day today - though started on a rocky footing - got so much better! I met up with @ursula_uriarte and we spent hours just walking around, drinking tea and taking pictures and I already miss her companion; it’s just so much different when you are not alone neither in your adventures of picture taking or wandering around.
I took this picture last week, also with Ursula. Guess she and Oslo in the fall are just that inspiring.
Btw, this is the Nasjonalbiblioteket, the National Library of Oslo that blooms in red every fall.

It’s Halloween month!! Do you like/celebrate Halloween?
Back in Hungary, it’s not really a big thing, mostly just the parties and dressing up, but here in Norway, it’s getting bigger. My host kids are going trick-or-treating and they’ve been excited about the whole thing since the beginning of September!
Anything you like to do to prepare? I just put up some fake spiderwebs around my desk/wall, got some ceramic pumpkins and will throw in some fake autumn leaves too. First time that I can deck my place in autumn-y stuff.

What are some of your travel destinations?
One of mine was Oslo, and now I get to live here and I especially wanted to see this bridge because I’ve seen it all over instagram last year. So I’m happy I get to add a picture of it to my feed. Next big one is a Korea-Japan trip that I’m hoping maybe next year I can afford, but I’m not sure yet. My father is getting married sometime so that’s my top priority for now. ☺️

I have really been struggling with captions lately. I usually think of something good when I don’t have time to write it down but the moment I settle down to type up a post, my head does a whoooosh and everything disappears.
I’ve been in a melancholic mood lately, I’m lonely and I’m missing people. Wish I wouldn’t be so alone all the time but guess my company is not that enjoyable. I’m honestly feeling so uninspired these days when it comes to captions, so today I’m just gonna tell you all that I had some amazing corn bread my host mom made and now I would eat AAAAALL of them but they’re for a bake sale tomorrow.
Anyway, now I’m gonna go and watch the last episode of The Haunting of Hill House, which I’ve been rewatching for the last week or so. I wish there were some other good quality spooky shows out there but most of them never come close to being enjoyable. I don’t really get scared of these shows but I don’t want to get bored either while watching something. If you have any recommendations, I’m all ears for them!
