Are you a fan of The Handmaid’s Tale? I admit I haven’t read the book yet, but I’ve seen two seasons of the show and I’m hooked and can’t wait to have time to catch up on the latest. Then after I think it’s time for me to start these books because the story is so compelling and intriguing, all the whole being disturbing and scary. I can’t wait to find out both what happened before and after!

I didn’t have the best day, so gush about 3 of your current favorite things.
Had the worst cramps in a long while today so I took about 3 naps yet I’m still so sleepy. I had to skip my norwegian lesson today as I didn’t have the strength to even put clothes on, let alone go out in the rain and spend 2 and a half hours in school. I’m snuggled in bed right now, thinking about what to read before sleep inevitably claims me.

It’s Halloween month!! Do you like/celebrate Halloween?
Back in Hungary, it’s not really a big thing, mostly just the parties and dressing up, but here in Norway, it’s getting bigger. My host kids are going trick-or-treating and they’ve been excited about the whole thing since the beginning of September!
Anything you like to do to prepare? I just put up some fake spiderwebs around my desk/wall, got some ceramic pumpkins and will throw in some fake autumn leaves too. First time that I can deck my place in autumn-y stuff.

Ever get so busy you don’t even have time to check your phone?
Sorry for being kinda MIA, I had a couple of very busy days. Yesterday I started my second Norwegian course, which is fun but there’s only 6 of us and the others all know each other, so it’s only me whose the outsider. So I was preparing for that for the last couple days.
Then today I met up with @ursula_uriarte finally, and went around the city a bit, even though it was a disgusting rainy weather.
But the fun ended there, my middle host kid has gotten sick, the parents asked me to cut the kids hair, so it was just thing upon thing to do. I hope to catch up with some comments and your posts from the missed time but I have school again so I’m not sure how it will go. But for now, I’m gonna like some posts here and then go to bed, I’m beat.

What makes you the happiest in your life? ☺️
Lately, I haven’t been the happiest I could be but I’m trying to find a thing a day, or if it’s too much, a thing a week that makes me happy. BTS is one of them, with their sunshine personalities and uplifting music, listening to audiobooks, doing a little decorating, meeting with or talking to friends or eating something good, these are some that I try to do more of. And thankfully, my love for taking pictures is coming back. I guess the summer time for me is the worst, I somehow always seem to be uninspired come hot and sweaty. So my goal is for the next summer, to take enough pictures until so I won’t feel unproductive here. Like take this picture for example, I took it last December when I was home and now found a perfect use for it.

What’s your current read?
Here’s one of mine, actually an audiobook, called These Witches Don’t Burn by Isabel Sterling and I am LOVING it so much! I had my eyes on it for a long time, even before publication, but I forgot about it. Then I got an audible credit and was wondering what to get for it and as I looked through my want to read list on Goodreads, this gem popped up. After making sure I liked the narrator, it was an instant purchase. It’s full of female friendships and queerness and I am living for it. I’m gonna read the blurb below in the comments and I strongly recommend you all pick it up too!

What are some of your travel destinations?
One of mine was Oslo, and now I get to live here and I especially wanted to see this bridge because I’ve seen it all over instagram last year. So I’m happy I get to add a picture of it to my feed. Next big one is a Korea-Japan trip that I’m hoping maybe next year I can afford, but I’m not sure yet. My father is getting married sometime so that’s my top priority for now. ☺️

Luckiest book find? Every got anything from any bookstore that surprised you when you opened it?
This is the Norwegian edition of Laini Taylor’s Daughter or Smoke and Bone which I found in a bookstore here for about $2.50 on sale so of course I couldn’t leave it there… only to open it when I came home and find that IT IS SIGNED!! How lucky I am! Can’t wait for the day until I can properly read it and understand every word.
How was your day? I had a quite productive one with work and such and now I’m about to settle in bed to watch some more of season 2 of Elite.

Spent the day watching Killing Eve s2 with my host dad so you could say I didn’t have a productive day. But it was still fun, it’s rare when both of us are home and we don’t have anything to do but when it happens, we are usually watching something good.
Litteraturehuset is one of the coolest places here in Oslo, and although I haven’t been back since last year, I walked past it and admired a lot since I moved here. I’m trying to go out more and explore more as my time allows but sometimes I’m just too lazy to do anything.

I had a really crappy day yesterday - the kind when you don’t even want to get out of bed or do anything - so I watched a couple movies and guess what! They were also very crappy! And these were movies I was looking forward to watch but eh. What can we do. ♀️
So for today, I spent the day doing my hair, which you can take a peek at in my stories and will probably later feature on my feed too. Just gonna bribe @ursula_uriarte to take some pictures of me while she’s here.

I have really been struggling with captions lately. I usually think of something good when I don’t have time to write it down but the moment I settle down to type up a post, my head does a whoooosh and everything disappears.
I’ve been in a melancholic mood lately, I’m lonely and I’m missing people. Wish I wouldn’t be so alone all the time but guess my company is not that enjoyable. I’ve been trying so hard to open up to people and message them to no avail. I feel like I’m doomed to loneliness my whole life and and as much as I wish for it sometimes…I hate it just the same.
