This Kitchen Remix matches every countertop swatch from the Cottage Living kitchen with every counter base swatch. To keep things manageable, I have split the swatches into Light and Dark Wood Tops, for a total of six packages in the zipped file:

I didn’t know what to call this set because it’s not really a recolor, so thanks to everyone on Discord who brainstormed names!
I really wish I could re-organize the order the items appear in the catalogue, but doing that would involve changing the instance numbers of the items. Modular items like kitchens/sectionals have a very specific instance numbering to make sure they all show up right and I didn’t want to break everything for the sake of organization, haha.
Also, I took a page out of @pictureamoebae’sCottage Cor Blimey recolors and used only one swatch for the hardware on the sinks.

I realize I haven’t posted anything about my Cottage Living save!
I had my sims, Arjun, moved into a rundown (and off-the-grid) version of my Charmant Cottage. My goal was to discover the pack, while earning enough money to renovate the house with animals, plants, and villagers’ errands. And that part wasn’t that hard… after I started growing dragon fruits!
On the other hand, I must admit that, even if the animations are cute, taking care of the animals quickly becomes quite repetitive, and time consuming (especially if you also have to tend your garden). In the beginning, since I still had cheap furniture (Arjun had to sleep a lot), I had little time left to do anything else during the day! It became a little easier when Léon, Arjun’s boyfriend, moved in with him.
Obviously, the world is beautiful and it was fun to explore it while running errands for the villagers. I really enjoyed this part of the gameplay, except perhaps for the more generic requests. I preferred the ones from Agnes or the mayor for example, with a real backstory. Unfortunately, I don’t think it’s really replayable (once you did these once, it’s less interesting).
I don’t really know what to say. Overall, it’s a pretty good pack, I had a lot of fun. But as too often in the Sims 4, most of the new features are only available in the new world. And I’m really annoyed about that. I might continue to play with these two sims, but in another world, just to get a better idea of what this extension adds when you don’t live in Henford-on-Bagley. But before that, maybe there are some things I haven’t tested yet!
By the way, I’m still playing without CC (except for the body hairs, I don’t get why we still don’t have that in game after seven years), and it’s kind of nice. I still wish we had more clothes for guys, obviously, but that doesn’t stop me from having fun!

Buttercup Cottage
Another preview of the overgrown cottage build I’m working on. I really want to make this available for download once I’m finished but I don’t know if anyone would use it.
I hope everyone is enjoying the new pack! One of the things I worked on leading up to the release was a wallpaper set.
After seeing what was included in CL I felt a little disappointed with the new walls so I took it upon myself to create some quaint wallpapers for your lovely cottages. There’s a mix of modern and vintage wallpapers with some Scandinavian influence as well as some traditional styles as well.

This set contains two files: one for wallpaper with wainscoting and with a bottom baseboard. There’s 6 swatches of painted wainscoting/baseboard to choose from (green, light blue, navy blue, grey, black, and white) with 44 wallpaper swatches.
This set is base game compatible.

I’ve been so stoked for the new pack and I know a lot of you are too! I’ve been working on a couple of small projects in the meantime to make the days go by faster, and one of those projects are these hydrangeas that I recoloured from base game. Hydrangeas are one of my absolute favourite flowers and I found that the ones in the game were so lackluster and flat. I based all the swatches off of real flowers and I hope it adds some beauty to your (soon to be) cottage gardens.

There are 34 swatches in a variety of colours and combinations. I didn’t do a stark white swatch as that’s already included in bg and I didn’t see the need to improve upon it.
As stated above, this is base game compatible :).

In anticipation for the new Cottage Living pack I’ve been working on some cc that fits with the theme, and finding lots of inspiration on Pinterest. My partner and I finally finished working on a Green Gables build in The Sims 4. If you want to download it, it’s all Maxis, no CC and can be found on The Sims Gallery. You can find it by searching Green Gables or THX0785 is our EA handle. We’ll be redecorating it with CC for our own enjoyment and I’ll post those pics later.
We used the floorplan and pictures from the actual house that inspired Lucy Maude Montgomery. Apparently it was her relative’s house that she visited many times growing up and she used it as the model for the house in the books. It still stands and is a museum on Prince Edward Island.

Cottage Living wallpapers with no wainscoting
I have not yet actually done any gameplay with Cottage Living. First CAS, then deciding I was going to actually build instead of plopping down a shell, wrestling with roofs, finally going to decorate, and deciding I NEEDED these wallpapers without wainscoting for the transition between floors by the stairs instead of just, you know, picking a different wallpaper.
All correctly tagged etc, all wall heights, both the left and right versions of the vine wallpaper (which was a fun discovery halfway through making these), same cost and environment score as the originals.

The Caldera Farm (located in Mua Pel’Am, Sulani) has belonged to the Caldera family for years. As generations began to move away from the islands, the farm became a prime target for gentrification. Destined to save her family’s land from becoming yet another Sulani tourist trap, Celeste Caldera-Elway decided to leave Brindleton Bay and inherit the Caldera Farm.
Although this is a great opportunity to reconnect with the island, the two bedroom farmhouse will definitely be a downsize for Celeste, her husband (David Elway), their four children (Keith, Chelsea, Cameron, and Kendra), and their dog (Flynn).
