Made this post about my Turning Red friends queer headcanons. Miriam is my favorite of the group and I just had to draw em ;v; Avril Lavigne was my icon, so of course I had to do an outfit of hers.
I just love the friendship that meilin has with her friends as this movie really brought back what being in middle-school was like. Too many moments I couldn’t help but feel second-hand embarrassment and laugh at the same time. It’s like Disney is really taking things a notch of making viewers cry from how issues are being addressed as generational trauma was one of them. Like first Encanto, now this movie as both are amazing and just movies that you can relate to in some way.
So if Mei and Miriam adopted a little girl in the future, do you think they’d receive the red panda blessing? I think so. Ming said it was passed down through daughters. They’re was no criteria for them to be blood related. The only qualification was daughter.
Additionally it would be cool if they adopted a child who later identified as trans female and they were blessed with the gift. (It would be a cool sequel.)
