if theres death threats or doxxing involved, stupid little internet opinions are irrelevant
doesnt matter where they stand, if its insipid internet discourse then it stays on the internet. it should not affect your real life.
cyberbullying affects real life, doxxing affects real life, spreading csem affects real life. if closing the computer or deleting your account cant get rid of it, it shouldnt happen.
deleting an account doesnt get rid of the trauma of being harrassed; of having your or your families name, address, school, phone number, social security number, voters registration number, ect leaked; of having csem or nonconsensual images spread.

I wonder if antis realize that proship was the norm for most people until the last few years. Don’t get me wrong, there have always been ship wars, and there most likely always will be. But the idea that enjoying or consuming fictional taboo media must automatically mean you condone such things in real life seems to be a fairly recent development. I can’t help but wonder what’s changed.
Perhaps it’s how much more accessible and easy to use technology is now, and how wi-fi and internet access are available just about everywhere nowadays. Maybe it’s in part because parents aren’t paying attention, aren’t teaching their children proper online safety anymore; they just stick a phone or tablet in the kid’s hands and leave it at that. Maybe it’s the lure of anonymity that comes with online interactions. Anyone can say they’re someone else, or no one at all. How many anonymous burner accounts are made by antis with the express purpose of using them to spew abuse? The kind of vileness that they would never say on an account they’re personally connected to because deep down, they know it’s wrong.

It makes me wonder what’s going on in these kids lives to make them think that their behavior is “normal”. Sending gore and death threats to people is not normal. Telling people to kill themselves is not normal. Wishing for someone to be harmed or assaulted is not normal. Making burner account after burner account in order to harass someone is not normal. Telling abuse survivors that they deserved what happened to them, and that you hope it happens again is Not. Fucking. Normal. Under any circumstances.

No, friend. They’re a person behind a screen just like you. They’re a person with thoughts and feelings and interests and hobbies just like you. Treat others the way you wish to be treated.

I honestly like to think antis and people who support purity culture are either people from the younger generation trying to get brownie points or older people doing the same thing.
You aren’t cool or edgy for sending death threats, suicide baiting people, and sending out people’s personal information then masquerading it as a form of activism. Go back to preschool and learn the golden rule (because I’m sure all of you learned that shit in preschool) “treat others how you want to be treated”. I know none of you want to be sui-baited, have your addresses and personal information exposed, or receive death threats so

I’m just quickly giving you an update. it might take me longer than planned to come back. a girl on twitter received anonymous death threats and tried to commit suicide earlier today. I’m still in shock. I didn’t know her but it still got to me. I cannot process why anyone would feel like it‘s the right thing to tell somebody to kill themselves. this scares me. I’m praying for her.
this situation has been on my mind for the past hours and I have to calm the fuck down. please stay safe everyone, know that you‘re loved and always dm me if you need something. thank you.

Saber stood to the side of the room, closest to the door, her eyes locked dead ahead while Faraday and Farkas, his nephew, both were roaring at a man that had gone to blab to the police about some shady shit happening at one of the warehouses by the pier. Their screaming always terrified her, but she couldn’t let that show.
She was built to handle it all and trained how to be a good Abernathy dog, worthy of a special collar that separated her from the domestics and romantics, but… not like it mattered when it came to Farkas. She was scared of him the most, especially if Nessa, his girlfriend, was around too. They both knew just how to make her miserable, and she knew that she couldn’t let the pain be shown unless they wanted it obvious. They’d make sure of that at least.
“Really?! You thought the cops were going to put you in some witness protection shit, Winston? Are you fucking stupid?!” Farkas asked, slapping the man who was tied up, his hands tied up above him with chains. Saber used her peripherals to see that the man was stripped down to his boxers, his torso covered in splotches of black and blue, red accented wherever it managed to find the canvas that was their unmarred skin.
A laugh came from Faraday and he held a knife under Winston’s chin. “I have half a mind to send your ass to WRU, have them wipe you, and give you to your wife, so she can see what a disgrace you became. At what cost, hmmm? You thought you were going to one up me or something? How about I just get rid of your entire bloodline and have you bury them?” He inquired, digging the tip of the blade in, the poor man sobbing and looking up at his torturer.

SHIT! Okay how am I going to get out of this? Do I say, ‘Heyyyyy, sorry about stealing human beings from you’? No… How about just getting the fuck out of here? Yeah, that works.
Lukas was sprinting down the hall as fast as his legs could carry him, the sound of different people barking out orders and shouting for him to stop echoing. If that wasn’t enough, he could hear the telltale sound of someone behind him firing a gun, the bullet whizzing right by his ear.
“Not the face!” He yelled at his chasers, rounding the corner and skidding to a halt when he saw two guard dogs waiting for him and an extra security detail aiming a pistol at him. He held his breath and stared at them like a deer in headlights, wondering if they could sense that he was nervous.
Well, this is not good. Nope, not good at all. Note to self: Don’t piss off the Scottish crime boss’ sister. That’s probably for the best. I think I still look cute enough to be convincing.
There was only one thing Lukas could do at that moment.
He clapped and flashed a large, smarmy grin, rubbing his two hands together quickly as if he was about to give one hell of an excuse. “I think I got lost here so would ya mind pointing to the exit? It’s a long story.”
