You wandered around looking for any food or supplies you could scavenge, your backpack felt light as you were running lower and lower on resources.
You wandered around covered in mud, blood, and sweat; you wished you could come across a river or lake, SOMETHING to clean yourself off even if it’s just a little bit, it didn’t help it was so hot this time of year, you had to take your leather jacket off and stuff it into your bag, taking up space, you had to rip the pant legs off it was so hot, this is why you always preferred the fall and winter, you didn’t have to deal with sit like this.
Huffing, You looked towards your bandaged forearm, you would have to change them soon…
You were so worried about your arm and not paying attention to your surroundings that you had no time to react or even scream when you heard a twig snap and you were suddenly pulled into the air.
You swung hitting your back into a tree, groaning at the pain not only from your back that would surely bruise but the uncomfortable strain in your left leg at how the rope dug into the meat of your calf, and now you were starting to lose it now at the amount of the blood was rushing to your head.
Your sight goes fuzzy, black splotches obscure your vision as you slowly blink, once… Twice… you pass out.
Louis walked the pathway with Asim and Clementine, Asim being annoyed and done with his bullshit and Clem laughing at his silly pickup lines as she would roll her eyes at him.
Clem and Asim actually hunted while Louis was put on trap duty, so after making a Zombie pinata party he moved on to reset the traps; moving with haste so he could flirt with Clementine some more. however, one of the traps didn’t have a Zombie in it….
It had you.
“Uhh, guys- GUYS!”
“What is it now Lou-”
Asim drifted off as he spotted you hanging body,
“HOLY SHIT!”
He rushed over as he without thinking pulled the rope causing your body to drop at an awkward angle; the three then decided that it would be best to call it for the day.
Louis picked up your unconscious body as they made their way back to the school; rushing inside and calling for Ruby to take a look at your injuries.
Getting inside and placing you down on a bed in one of the extra bedrooms they had; Ruby rushed in, Tenn hot on her tail behind her.
Asim explained where they found you, Clem left to find Aj and Violet, and Louis was looking at you. You looked like hell, but you were still kinda nice to look at… Even with all the blood and guts that clung to you and your clothes.
He was pulled from his thoughts at Ruby rushing in and calling Louis over to a dusty red chaise lounge couch that was moved into what once used to be the nurse’s office.
Ruby pulled over a small desk, placing a bowl of cold river water and a washcloth, “clean the blood off ‘em! M'gonna look fer more disinfectant if they wake up jus’ tell 'em to try ta relax, don’ need 'em movin’ too much and pullin’ somethin’ and from the looks of those bloody bandages, it would be best for 'em to just rest.”
With that, she turned around and began her search for the disinfectant she needs to fix your wounds and numb some of the pain that you would surely feel when you woke up.
Louis took the slightly dirty washcloth dipping it in the cold river water making a chill run through him, God how he missed hot showers…
He figured he would just start with your hands, it had been a little while and if you woke up right now and saw him, he would rather be washing your hands than your legs or face and have to give a long and awkward explanation as to how he wasn’t some creep and was just trying to help clean you up so you could get treatment, that would be harder to explain if you were trying to kill him for ’feeling up or you legs’
Yeah… He would rather not have that as your first impression of him…
After cleaning both your hands and arms, being careful not to touch your bandages on your right forearm and upper left arm and you hadn’t shifted once he figured he was safe to continue.
After wiping down your legs and finding more scratches on them than your arms he made a mental note to let Ruby know, he didn’t know if she would care but he wanted to do anything he could to help, even if it was something so small.
Getting lost in his thoughts, he thoughtlessly dipped the damp cloth into the now room temperature red-tinted water, letting some water drip back into the bowl before moving to wipe your neck, then your face.
He lightly dabbed and gently dragged the cloth along your face, he was careful not to press too hard, he remembers before when all the world went to shit; he would do his skincare and always remember never to press down hard on your face unless you wanted to break out with red harsh skin… Old habits die hard he guessed…
After wiping your face and you were now clean he got a better look at you… Yeah… He liked your face!
Louis let his lips curl into a sloppy smile as he pushed some hair that was sticking to your damp face, moving away you started to stir.
Thank God he wasn’t in your face like he was a moment ago, he would have died of embarrassing awkwardness and another grave would be placed next to Marlons…

“Good morning starshine! The earth says hello!” A cheery voice calls to you as your eyes flutter open, you reach up wiping your eyes and taking a deep breath; you sigh feeling a lot less dirty and sticky than you did before.
Looking down you saw you were cleaned up, well apart from your clothes. You looked around and spotted a boy…

He had his hair up, his dreadlocks falling framing his smiling face; he had warm light brown eyes that just had this shine to them as the sunlight hit them from the windows, his skin was a beautiful tan-ish brown, and freckles covered his face some trailing down his neck, his lips were round and were tinted pink his copies bow was an even shape and added to his charm.
But before you could say anything a pink-cheeked chubby girl with curly red hair that was pulled into a small bun rushed in holding nurse and first aid stuff, she was cute too…
“Oh! Good y'er up! Would you mind stittin’ up fer me? I jus’ wanna check you and make sure y'got nothin’ broken or infected.” She spoke in this pretty southern drawl as she set her supplies down, you slowly sat up the boy helping you up when you grunted at the sharp pain in your back and ribs.
After some poking and prodding, she only found the big bruise on your back that trailed up to your ribs were a big problem, when she offered to change your bandages you were quick to decline her offer,
You just found these people and from the way, they talked to you and helped you it seemed like if you played nice you could have a place to stay…
You just hope they don’t catch you changing your bandages…
Synopsis: Clementine and her s/o are at a summer party with their friends. Things are fine until a certain s/o finds a hose to play with.
Clementine didn’t hesitate to say yes when Louis invited her to a summer barbecue.
She also didn’t hesitate to bring her partner along for the fun.
It was mid-July, and the day was perfect for a little get-together. Especially with school just around the corner.
Clem was laughing at something Louis said - some stupid joke about cashews.
So she was a bit taken aback when Violet, Louis, and Marlon - who were all just in front of her - were now scurrying away, they’re eyes widened with slight specks of humor in them.
Before she could question the change in atmosphere, she felt a freezing cold force hit her back.
She straightened up involuntarily, the cool liquid soaking into her t-shirt and sticking to her skin.
She definitely did not recognize the noise that came out of her mouth; it sounded like a half-gasp, half-squeal.
Bits of water splashed upward, landing on her hat and her hair - the humidity and heat immediately causing some of her hair to frizz up, some curls falling out of her pigtails.
Finally, in what felt like forever, the force of water left her, leaving the coolness etched on her skin and running down her back.
Clem released a breath she didn’t realize she was holding, and she immediately turned to her assailant.
Her partner was looking at her, eyes lit up in humor as their cheeks puffed out in a pathetic attempt to hold back their laughter.
Clem involuntarily shivered, feeling any thoughts of anger being replaced by mischief and humor.
“That was cold. At least give me a hug as an apology.” Clem said, her arms now spread open as she stepped towards them.
Her partner’s eyes widened as they dropped the still-running hose next to their feet. They immediately shook their head and began to back away as Clem advanced forward.
The water from the hose formed a small puddle of mud underneath her partner’s feet.
So when her partner stepped back again, Clem almost choked in laughter when they slipped on their bare feet and right on their ass into the cold puddle of mud.
The noise that left her partner’s lips caused Clem to burst into laughter.
Her partner felt frigid, but after getting their bearings, they switched positions to sit on their knees as they grabbed Clem’s leg, pulling her towards them.
Clem’s yell of surprise was cut off as the force of the ground met her backside. She felt the freezing water once again hit her back (which was just starting to warm back up).
Her partner laughed, letting out a small snort.
Clem loved it when they laughed so hard that they snorted.
She wanted to hear it again.
“So, about that hug,” Clem said, a grin on her face as she reached for the hose next to her.
“Oh no no no no- CLEM!” Her partner screeched as the water was sprayed onto them. Their yelling soon became a mix of laughs, snorts, and squeals.
Her partner would occasionally get ahold of the hose and drench Clem’s hair and hat.
Their friends were not amused, rolling their eyes at the situation that took place in front of them.
Well - except Louis - he practically ran inside and grabbed a bunch of water guns, determined to have an all-out war.
Clementine decided that summer was now her favorite season.
Well - any season was her favorite as long as she spent it with her partner.
As long as she had them, she could find enjoyment in anything.
