For anyone who cares, I have finally decided to start a Facebook page. You can visit, like and share the page at the link below (or don’t, I’m not bothered what you do):

In honour of my swanky new page, I’ve decided to update a few of my more popular posts, starting with my Lord of the Rings route map. This post was the first one to really take off when I posted it nearly 4 years ago. Thank you to everyone who liked and shared it and followed me since I started this Tumblr page back in 2012.

…and if you want to see the original route map, you can still see it below:

Gollum: Perhaps we grows very strong, stronger than Wraiths. Lord Sméagol? Gollum the Great? The Gollum! Eat fish every day, three times a day; fresh from the sea. Most Precious Gollum! Must have it. We wants it, we wants it, we wants it! ’

‘No,’ said Gandalf. 'Nor by Saruman. It is beyond his art, and beyond Sauron’s too. The palantíri came from beyond Westernesse from Eldamar. The Noldor made them. Fëanor himself, maybe, wrought them, in days so long ago that the time cannot be measured in years. But there is nothing that Sauron cannot turn to evil uses. Alas for Saruman! It was his downfall, as I now perceive. Perilous to us all are the devices of an art deeper than we possess ourselves. Yet he must bear the blame. Fool! to keep it secret, for his own profit. No word did he ever speak of it to any of the Council. We had not yet given thought to the fate of the palantíri of Gondor in its ruinous wars. By Men they were almost forgotten. Even in Gondor they were a secret known only to a few; in Arnor they were remembered only in a rhyme of lore among the Dúnedain.’

Some people are complaining about the new Lord of the Rings show having people of color, because apparently in a fantasy world with fire monsters and talking trees a non-white elf is toomuch.

I, however, will not be satisfied until we see a gender bent reboot of the Lord of the Rings with a non-white cast so here are my picks. Who would you choose?

Also, I know Thranduil doesn’t appear in the trilogy, but once I started thinking about Angela Bassett as the glamorous wine mom to Yara Shahidi’s Legolas I couldn’t stop.

And I didn’t switch up Faramir because I wanted the Faramir/Éowyn relationship to be a queer one. You’ll thank me later.
