i know that this is a pretty basic one but i absolutely adore aaron taylor-johnson and think he’s incredibly adorable and handsome. plus if you ever want to write him as surviving there’s source material (because he gets even more sexy and handsome as he gets older)
regulus black x timothee chalamet
timothee is adorable and perfect for reggie (even though the person that i pick for sirius is younger than him). these are the only two popular fancast for these characters so good luck for the rest and i hope you can see my vision i guess
sirius black x deaken bluman
before i say anything just look at the hair. look at the material. plus he can give off rich bitch vibes and chaotic rule breaker (he is only one month younger than timothee though so i won’t really mind it i guess). plus the dude is drop dead gorgeous. come on now! (sn, i just looked it up and he’s actually only six days younger than timothee. six!)
remus lupin x matt hitt
okay ik ik i truly was considering andrew garfield and i would’ve used him but i honestly wanted a people that looked much younger (don’t bring up aaron okay). although both are in their thirties now i think matt encapsulated that remus john lupin energy that we all know and love. plus i’m this picture we can say he’s wearing sirius’ jacket. and matt is the oldest out of the six and remus definitely has an aged look.
peter pettigrew x lucas hedges
i loved lucas in boy erased and ben is back. i was contemplating fionn oshea but i thought that lucas just exudes that quiet but smart and timid friend energy. plus i’d love to hug lucas (although i would never let peter touch me).
lily evans x nora mac
before i begin plus sized lily! idc what you have to say and i don’t want to hear any of your fatphobia. nora just seems like the person that would give the best hugs and lils is obviously an amazing hugger. she seems like she also has the best snacks and could just give you endless love (especially for those like remus). also her hair is gorgeous. so yeah

I had a brain blast so clear about fancasting for Connie Willis’ Blackout and All Clear books, that I thought maybe I’d read a post about it somewhere here? elsewhere on the internet? (I haven’t found it, but the internet is a big place).

I don’t have a full fancast in mind for “Konosuba”, but I was thinking that if we ever get a live-action adaptation, Hailee Steinfeld should play Aqua.
She’d basically be playing Kate Bishop but without any of the traits that made her likable or endearing. So just an arrogant rich girl who annoys the main character, but now Clint is justified in thinking she’s the absolute worst (Kazuma being Clint Barton in this scenario).
Also, imagining Hailee Steinfeld with blue hair, either dyed or as a wig, is hilarious to me.
With all love and respect to Tom Sturridge and Gwendoline Christie, I would kill to see @hunterschafer play Lucifer and @tchalamet as Dream in @neilhimself Sandman.

From what I’ve seen from the fanfics, fanarts, and fan edits, I feel like a lot of people don’t realize that Voldemort is like +20 years older than Bellatrix, Snape, the Marauders, etc. I’ve seen a lot of fancast where they’re the same age and it bothers me. I know the movies didn’t help since they portrayed that generations as much older with their casting choices but Voldemort was older than McGonagall.

One of my favorite fancasts of a character is Jim Carrey in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind as Remus Lupin. He’s lanky, has a bit longer hair and his clothes look like something Remus would generally wear. His expressions also look like Remus - he looks self-deprecating, depressed but also has this kind face like Remus. He also looks older than he might actually be but he doesn’t look too old. I just think he looks much more like Remus than Andrew Garfield (no hate to him, but imo he’s too pretty and too perfect to be Remus)

Couldn’t resist sneaking this one into the fancast lineup too. :) Obviously WtM isn’t canon, but this could also be how Lavinia might’ve looked had she and her boyfriend successfully escaped the Capitol for a sweeter, simpler life. ♡
