The worst thing about Chief Cultivator Hanguang-jun, from Lan Wangji’s perspective, is only partly that it cuts into his valuable Wei Ying Spoiling Time, and that it involves Socializing (his least favorite activity)
it is also that he has hitherto been very content with his decision to loathe and despise Jiang Wanyin (derogatory), who is a generally unpleasant person and has committed every Wei-Ying-related crime (the worst type of crime), in a way that is definitely not projecting even a little bit
butJiang-zongzhu is one of his least insufferable colleagues. He doesn’t make endless self-aggrandizing speeches, he doesn’t waste conference time sucking up to Lan Wangji, and (horror of horrors!) they actually agree about most actual policies! this is incredibly rude of him and he should cease this behavior at once.
I was so annoyed by Korn’s analogy with the lucky knife. Like, bitch, that thing got dull and rusted because you didn’t take care of it, not because you cut apples for you’re wife with it. Did you never clean it? Sharpen it? Polish it? You made the decision to ruin the knife with your inaction, not because you used the knife to cut apples for your loved one.
Telling Kinn that he needs to remain sharp and clean, implying that a relationship will dull and rust him, is such a huge projection of Korn’s own inadequacies.
i think this could be useful for the people who is not totally sure about spend their money in this movie, it has their good and bad points, but generally is a great movie, so please, let’s show them that “A Hispanic story” can be as good as any other one, or even better!.
Seriously, go see the movie. It’s filled with many wonderful things depicting one of our most sacred traditions that invite everyone regardless of their culture to be part of (not offensive at all—we always enjoy sharing our traditions and rich folklore).
It explains very simply how we despite mourning our loss ones, we celebrate them by remembering them and the life they led, how death is just another part that we will all cross, and it’s filled with celebration.
The colors, the language—everything is point on. Even the mannerisms of familial characteristics of long ago that are still present in various degrees.
