The Art Of Puroresu
Well, technically, the above is the art from an instruction manual, for one of the most revered puroresu video games ever produced.
And thus I finally have a reason to bring up yet another Tumblr everyone should know about: The Video Game Art Archive. As the name implies, it features scans of video game art, often hailing from the golden years, and usually sourced from instruction manuals. So it just happens that the game currently being showcased is Super Fire Pro Wrestling Special.
BTW, the site seriously is one of those in which a casual perusal of the archive can quickly rob you of your entire day, so be careful!
Though I will note that another game recently featured that’s of personal interest was Tetris Battle Gaiden, which you may recall being mentioned in conjunction with The Tetris Block Party. Am actually looking into getting a copy of my own, and thanks to The Video Game Art Archive, I don’t have to worry about one that’s complete (the manual always drives up the price of any Super Famicom game).

I’ve been wanting to practice drawing small children and babies lately, and I wanted to start with baby Rosalina since she’s one of the main characters I play as in Mario Kart. Since she’s typically seen with the Polari, I wanted to include him in the drawing. It looks like they’re about to hug!

I’ve always thought Rinea’s design is so beautiful! The cream colored parts of her dress turned out a little darker than I had planned, but otherwise I’m so happy with how her badge turned out.
The second picture is of the back of the badge, and the third one is Rinea’s art outside of the badge.
