Had a dsmp/hermitcraft headcanon
So y’all know how the watchers are supposed to be us, the viewers, right? Fairly similar to how in the dsmp the chats are Phil’s crows, Techno’s voices, Ect.
So headcanon that the only difference between the two are if they are on twitch or YouTube. And they have a bit of a rivalry going on.
“But Storm” I hear you say, “ Techno is on YouTube!”
Exactly.
Techno’s voices aren’t the same as the chats of those around him
It’s the Watchers.
His heart was pounding, his back was aching, and his skull felt as though it might split in two. The void screamed in silence around him and though his wings cried out for some sort of relief - forced to fly while bearing a deep-seated, aching kind of pain that felt as though he had been flying for hours - the skin of his face still burned, the sting as fresh as the moment he had forcibly ripped his mask from his own face.
It wasn’t meant to be irremovable.
It wasn’t meant to be a prison.
It wasn’t meant to be like this.
It was just his luck that the godlike beings who had taken him into their care weren’t like the benevolent deities he had first met, weren’t like the curious and clever and somewhat playful individuals who had kept watch over Evo.
Watchers weren’t meant to be cruel, but the ones who had taken Grian weren’t like their brethren. Grian just hadn’t realized it until it was too late.
(…a work in progress, perhaps? And a slightly different take on Watchers too…)

The Fantastic Four and the Fantastic Force ended up in a war between the Celestials and the Watchers. They split the two teams in order to fight Aron, the Rogue Watcher, to save the Milky Way and to aid the Watchers against the Celestials.
In the end, Invisible Woman managed to destroy Exciter (Exterminator Celestial), right after it had destroyed the One (main Watcher). She then convinced Uatu to help them defeat Aron, which he did. However, as this violated his sacred Oath, Uatu was banned from the Watchers…

Grian calling them Mumbo withdrawals and everything in the beginning of episode 9 was amazing.
Now what might be more amazing is the tiny manbun Grian he wore from the moment he got it to the end.
Also, he’s leaning into eldritch horror and I approve.

Also, yes! I want Grian to do so many odd things. I wonder if this will lean into the end of Last Life where Martyn brought up Watcher lore.
I want Watcher lore, I need that chaos in my life.
Also, he said something about his mega base being a bigger boulder? I want to see how that’s gonna work and if it’s somehow connected to the Entity.
Also, I wonder if we’re gonna get another season of Last Life?
