My first shot of the moon.
I finally pulled the trigger on owning a long-long lens. Settled on the Tamron 150-600mm G2 and couldn’t be more happier paired with my Nikon D850.
This shot was a composite of two images. The first is the moon (duh!) shot at 600mm - ISO100, 1/40th at f16. And so I didn’t just have a beautiful moon on a dull black background, I switched to a 50mm lens to get a shot of the stars in the dark sky which was at ISO800, 8sec at f2.8.
Once loaded into PS, it was pretty easy to mask out the moon and blend with the stars. Hope you enjoy.
