The Webtoon short story is up!! It’s called “Match Undone”
“ Wayru makes a deal with a god of love: he gets to know everyone’s future matches to make his work with the town soothsayer easier, but no one will ever deeply love him. No biggie right? He isn’t concerned with someone falling for him as long as he’s making some big bucks and catching girls’ attention in other ways. That is, until Rayena comes into town and for once, Wayru is hoping she falls for him, because he’s fallen for her. Will there be a way to break the deal or are there consequences? “

As this is a spooky SPOOKY MONTH, BOOM Have a redraw of a SPOOKIER OC! Cassius is a famous chef who gathers his ingredients from a… special source. But hey, he’s helping with over population so what the harm??
Cassius takes inspiration off of classic slasher movie villains, like jason or leather face or chucky or characters like that, yknow what i mean
Day 3: Oc that is the mosty likely to accidnetally spill secrets.
I figure that fear would be the worst at keeping secrets. His lips would be looser and flappier than a mudflap. …weird analogy but im keeping it. (don’t ask about his piercing library, he’s very embarrassed u-u)
The animation is figured is very similar to the cover art used for the first volume of rampid:
So i figured id base it around that.
Next, i got the story board:
After the story board was drawn up, i sat down and made a more ref worth model sheet of yukiko:
After the prep i was ready to animate~
I animate with toon boom (which i still need to get the hang of, but its a awesome program!
First, i got down how the movements would go and the composition of the animation.
next after that, a bit more detail sketch of animation and movement with more frames
next came the lineart~
then came color, walk movment and logo
and finally, the smoke effect and the second logo an the confetti! All in all this took me a long time lol, but i look forward to doing more animations in the future!
The other day, i stayed up all night drawing this up. And im really happy i finally got the designs down~! Cant wait to implement them into the story. Excited for you to see how and when they come in~! :D
don’t usually post art but doin this for a community competition
The first one is Sosa Future, my persona from my own comic The Future Us that’ll be coming out hopefully this summer if I get it done soon enough. They’ve got their own funky plot but I thought it’d be cool to have an alternate universe type situation so here we go:
Sosa’s an awkward coward with a far too narcissistic facade to most people. Their species is basically like the chameleon of aliens. Theyre born with a much more full green and aqua alien look but depending on where they travel to their form can shift to relate to the species around them, hence the slowly diluting humanish look to them. Sosa was captured with their parents when they were little but escaped and crashed alone on Earth. While they were there, they grew up with Amanda Future whos basically just her human sister at this point. Of course they were caught again a couple years later then continued to grow up to their 20s. Now they just spend their days hanging out with Aesblin and annoying guards despite quickly regretting it. Obviously.
The third one is also from The Future Us though shes more of just a side character anyways. She’s a lot more reluctant towards talking to the guards though it’s more of just not having the energy to than being afraid. She usually helps Sosa with their very failed escape plans behind the scenes, blaming it on anyone she can when she gets caught.
Finally, the second one is Carson. He’s an old vejieto (old man in Spanish) whos been there since his 20s and frankly has given up entirely on escaping. And since I know you’re a fellow John Mulaney fan, the best way I can describe his vibe is “my dad loved us. he just didn’t care about our general happiness or self esteem” and of course “and my dad pulled into the drive thru and we already started cheering… then he ordered one black coffee for himself.. and kept driving.” In other words, he’s just a big old geeky potion making sweetheart who doesn’t have the time left to deal with teenagers problems. Hell tell you how it is and if you don’t take it he’ll probably just flick the back of your head and make you tea as an apology then continue on with his day till whatever drama plays out.
Soooo yeah that’s all my guys. Hope some of these can help with the background characters and if not thanks for the chance anyways. It was super fun drawing my characters with that kind of au. :)
I can finally announce my new comic! Vampire Magicka! It will be premiering as a WEBTOON original on March 12! It’s a fantasy, comedy, queer romance following a young vampire Visare who is obsessed with magical girl anime.
I’ve been working on this for a while and I cannot wait for everyone to start reading it! Thanks to all my SSF readers, I hope you enjoy this one as well. See you March 12!!
