I feel like people don’t talk about Disney’s movie Brave enough. Like, everything happens because the princes won’t conform to rules and is positive she doesn’t need a man.

Sororidade Seletiva é algo sério! Não adianta bancar a feminista empoderada desconstruída, se tu só defende quem te interessa. Isso tá longe de ser sororidade de verdade! Criar uma rivalidade com uma mulher por não fazer parte do seu grupo de convívio/amigas é dar um tiro no próprio pé, acreditando que isso não irá alterar a sua forma de pensar. Isso acaba virando uma utopia para muitas, porque não há a tentativa alguma de se colocar na posição da outra e entender as necessidades da outra a partir dos referenciais dela, e sim dos nossos.É muito mais fácil se identificar e sentir empatia por alguém que vive uma realidade próxima, mas utilizar isso como desculpa para excluir outra mulher soa bastante hipócrita.

Solar System Quilt byEllen Harding Baker (1847-1886, USA), 1876, wool, silk & cotton; applique, braid, filling and embroidery, 225 x 269 cm, Smithsonian Institution, National Museum of American History.
Ellen Harding Baker was an astronomer and a teacher from Iowa. She made the quilt to assist her as a visual aid during her astronomy lectures, and it resembles astronomy illustration of the period. According to newspapers of the time it took her seven years to complete the quilt.
Ellen had seven children before her death at the age of 38.
