“I’m not crying because of you; you’re not worth it. I’m crying because my delusion of who you were was shattered by the truth of who you are.”

Rock painting has fast become a real love of mine. It’s so much fun! This is a little Russian Doll I finished a couple of days ago. Happy Saturday! xx

I love a good old fashioned Garden Tea Party. So much so that my latest painting has been inspired by them. Here’s a sneak peak!

Anyone for tea & cake? xx

for you and me who experience artblock..
keep on drawing!

THIS IS SO IMPORTANT OMG

You know…sometimes I feel like…”Man, I wish my art was good enough. I wish people loved my art…I wish I was this good…etc..etc.” Then I see posts like this…and I remember why I draw so much. Because I like doing it. I love drawing. And I am getting better and better!! I don’t think I will ever stop. Even if people don’t appreciate my work like I do…and I know that sounds conceited—but I am really proud of myself. I’ve come a long way. Instead of comparing my drawings to other peoples…I will start comparing my drawings to my previous ones…see how much better I get!! :)

this what people tend to forget..
stop comparing your art to others, but start  comparing your art to previous one to see how much you advance.

thank you for the reminder my friend :)

* sniffs * :’)

ESPO (Stephen Powers) was the king of New York City for awhile, he had a really funny process for getting these big metal roll up door walls around the city.

He would start painting the roll up door a blank white or grey color, appearing to be actually cleaning the door of graffiti (like small tags and throw ups).

If anyone tried to stop him, he would tell them he was with ESPO which stood for ‘Exterior Surface Painting Outreach.’ Since the name sounded official, ESPO tended to get away with painting over walls and was able to get up all over NYC.

In addition he would paint his pieces in advertisement style at times so they would really look like they belonged on the wall.

Today, he’s a dedicated mural and sign painter around the USA and the world, but he’ll always remain a graffiti inspiration for us.

My gesso brush served me well and accompanied me on many journeys. Alas, its time came to an end and it was time to retire. As a final send off, it was framed with a paint cloth and gifted with my latest commission, its final journey across the canvas.
