I spent last week in LA and was able to take a few pictures from the Flint Canyon Trail in La Cañada at night. There are four major areas that I captured, this is a painting of the one that is looking towards the entrance of the San Fernando Valley. I’m planning on painting the other three views, Pasadena, Glendale + North Hollywood, and East LA. What other cities should I paint?

SOLD* this painting was developed from my experience spending about 3 weeks in the east coast this summer. I painted a city with the blue ridge mountains as the back drop. And the clouds came from references of pictures I took while I was there! This is the first time I try to picture actual buildings in my paintings what do you guys think?

Sometimes you can’t tell from a time-lapse video that I paint every point of light (city lights and stars) purposefully. I do this mostly to balance the composition. This can be very time consuming, but I believe the end result is worth it! With this painting, I also tried to convey a sense of motion with the clouds. What do you all think?

I grew up in this valley! In Southern California if some one said they were from the “valley” you knew they meant The San Fernando Valley. It’s strange I’m getting more familiarized with its views and mountain ranges now that I don’t live there. Do you have a view like this where you live?

After an year of being “homeless” (without a studio) and feeling trapped within a cage, this little tiger has finally found her new home. Thank you so much @artscouncilnw @thegalleryqp for creating a studio for me within The Gallery at Queen’s Park. I’m so touched and grateful for the opportunity and space.
I cannot wait to see what I will create here.

I always kind of hoped to meet a model that could fill Bettie Page’s shoes and be the ultimate long term Muse for me; expressive, massively creative and simultaneously cute and wildly sensuous. It did come close a couple of times that lasted (much) longer than usual. However, life always got in the way of the arts at some point, and stopped it. But it did always inspire me a whole lot and what’s more, it pushed me to actually get better quicker too. It’s not about the hairdo at all, of course, that’s just a way to get that Bettie Page vibe in there. Bettie Page may only be a memory from even before my time, she left a vivid and exemplary image behind nonetheless. No snapchat or sillicone, no filters or fillers, no tattoos, just pure inspiration.
