The final 6 of 6 :D! She was a simplified version of pencil drawing. She was supposed to be my second square sketchbook that i was planning on making. I still really like these designs and do still want to make things with them :)

I really like this blouse here, I should make it XD its been so long since I sewed a saree blouse.

Love adding little details…just takes awhile .. 

This was 5 of 6. But this was a bit different, the idea was first to make a square sketchbook and use this as the cover but that didn’t end up happening ::(

The final one in this series. (The last 2 are a different format- I show you all tomorrow :) )

Another cover illustration in my series of sketchbooks I made :). There were 6, i’ll be uploading them all ~

The word was poison, so I drew a snake whispering in her ear because it didn’t need to bite her to bring her down.

I drew it and inked it by hand, then added colors digitally.

The palace is all decorated and ready for the new sun to rise, it’s finally coronation day.

Here it is…. My short story comic for the webtoons contest! I wrote a fairy tale so I guess this makes her the first “Shurmmi Princess”

Black Bird Dreams

“An ominous warning from a spellcaster has haunted the Rajkumari (Princess) in her dreams for years. Plagued with dreams of a black bird, she discovers her fate from her father, the Raja (King), who assures her things are under control. But his words never eased her worries, so she takes fate into her own hands. The cursed coronation day has finally come, and when the truth is revealed, nothing will be the same.”

This will be a definite redraw/recolor. I did alot of drawings but didn’t color them in fully yet…

I use a lot of different books for different things, I decided to use this one for my current venture. Chicken scratch ideas, doodles, fully detailed sketches, dreams, etc. it’s all in here! I hand made this one, from the binding to the illustration on the cover :)

Sikh taxi drivers gather at work in New York City. South Asian Americans drive more than half of all taxi cabs in the city.

The taxi industry is tied up in America’s botched history of South Asian racial classification. In 1984, when applying for licenses, drivers were asked to indicate their race/ethnicity. The choices given were: white, black, Indian, Asian, Hispanic. As a result, the The New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission (TLC) was surprised to find their drivers to be 34% white, 27% black, 15% Indian, 12% Asian, 11% Hispanic, because: “The Indian category, originally meant to refer to Native Americans, [was] selected by most drivers born in India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, as well as some drivers born in northeastern Africa.” Recognizing the impossibility of a New York City workforce composed of 15% Native Americans, the questionnaire was amended in 1992 to include the category Asian Indian.
