A lil inktober drawing I did last year. for inktober in 2019 I drew a lot of characters for different comics. I’ve been thinking about turning her into a sticker :) What do you guys think?

The final 6 of 6 :D! She was a simplified version of pencil drawing. She was supposed to be my second square sketchbook that i was planning on making. I still really like these designs and do still want to make things with them :)

I drew this and inked it by hand with a brush, the color was added later. I’ll add more to this soon :)

The word was poison, so I drew a snake whispering in her ear because it didn’t need to bite her to bring her down.
I drew it and inked it by hand, then added colors digitally.

The original was inked by hand in my sketchbook and then colored it in photoshop.

And done! Here is what that sketch from yesterday turned into :) I love how it turned out! I could see this on wallpaper, giftwrap, curtains etc. Excited to share more patterns soon.

Hello everyone! Hope you are all doing well :)
Im very excited to share my newest project with you all! I created a new brand called “Radical Blush” I have always love patterns ever since I was a little girl. Being Bangladeshi and Muslim, I was exposed to patterns thanks to my parents. (Im sure many of you from around the world share the same experience!) I’ve always wanted to design patterns and see them on various things from stationery, to fabric for salwar kammez, saris, hijabis, etc. I decided it was time to finally DO IT!
I spent the beginning of this year producing 2 short stories/comics(which felt awesome to see the final result!) Im totally not done with comics or with SHURMMI blog. I have so many more ideas for comics which I plan to work on. Do you also get so many ideas that end up doing nothing? Im like that, so I gotta organize and focus! Im seriously really looking forward to this. :) I appreciate all your love and support <3

My newest sketchbook has arrived! Waited 2-3 months for delivery from Poland, but it’s worth it. I have this thing where I tend to buy books that are pink and/or floral. Whether it’s notebooks or sketchbooks, can’t resist XD
I’ve been busy thinking about taking my art in another direction. Still plan on doing comics/stories, but adding more. I feel like I want to do some much that I end up not doing as much as I would hope. I might make a slight name change too…

My entry for Copic’s Contest! This piece titled “Dark Feathers” is done entirely with copics, not even any pencils in this! I have been very interested in fairy tales. My parents were recently telling me about egrets they would see back in Bangladesh and I wanted to make a piece about them. However egret babies always have white feathers, but would they be revered the same if they had dark feathers?
There are multiple awards, and one is asocial media award, the instagram post with the most likes! I’d appreciate an likes, love support <3 <3!!!

:D! My webcomic “Black Bird Dreams” has been completed! The contest ends June 30th, I’m not sure actually if the comics will remain up, I sure hope so. After months of hard work, my webtoon comic is officially DONE! It’s a huge relief and sense of accomplishment that I have a finished story! Here is a scene from the comic. I entered this into webtoons short story contest, so here’s to fingers crossed. A look inside my new webtoon comic, Black Bird Dreams. The 2 things I worked on alot and learned about was- coloring and making backgrounds. I like to have each project I do help me and get better and learn more as an artist. Doing backgrounds and actual scenes was a big challenge for me! And as far as coloring, I still have a lot to learn!

Here it is…. My short story comic for the webtoons contest! I wrote a fairy tale so I guess this makes her the first “Shurmmi Princess”
Black Bird Dreams
“An ominous warning from a spellcaster has haunted the Rajkumari (Princess) in her dreams for years. Plagued with dreams of a black bird, she discovers her fate from her father, the Raja (King), who assures her things are under control. But his words never eased her worries, so she takes fate into her own hands. The cursed coronation day has finally come, and when the truth is revealed, nothing will be the same.”
Chapters 1 and 2 are up! There will be 5. I’ll be updating on Sundays till the 29th of June when the contest ends. Your likes, comments, subscribes will help my chances! The prize is a contract to make a webtoon-which would be a dream come true ^o^!!

This was my first drawing on my samsung tablet from a couple of years ago. It’s a different experience from drawing on my wacom tablet. I’d like to one day have a desk I can work on and get one of those big fancy tablets thats like 16 inches! One day~

This is a one-shot manga that I created with my sister, Izni @the-izni! We worked on this while going to school/work for around 4 months. We made this for a contest hosted by medibang. It was a lot of fun, especially when it came to the characters :D. I’d still like to turn this into a longer series one day. (Still waiting on the results for the contest. Fingers crossed!)

On a journey to formulate a signature style for my patterns. For my illustrations I certainly have am ever changing style because I love to experiment. One thing is for certain, I love florals.

A Look Inside :) This is step one: Drawing. I’ll be using this beauty to create a surface pattern design. Patterns have always been a part of life since I was a little kid, and it’s an absolute joy to create them. Can’t wait to see where this goes!

I use a lot of different books for different things, I decided to use this one for my current venture. Chicken scratch ideas, doodles, fully detailed sketches, dreams, etc. it’s all in here! I hand made this one, from the binding to the illustration on the cover :)
