Stub Catalog: May 11, 1996 - Twister

Thoughts in hindsight…
  • ‘96 was a solid year for blockbuster movies. This was right around when I started going to movies with my friends instead of my father. Seismic shift. He gave me a good start. I’m not sure if my choices followed through on that promise. We’ll see.
  • The scene with the cow killed me. You know the one. Also when Philip Seymour Hoffman shouts “We crave sustenance!” Random.

Breathtaking, suspenseful and absolutely riveting.

Since the start of the year I have been trying to learn how to draw. And after a couple of alright ones and a few rather embarrassing failures, I think I’m starting to get the hang of it. I’m still learning and developing my skills but I want to start sharing some of my drawings (I’m not ready to call them ‘art’ yet) with you guys.

So here is one of my most recent ones and I am quite pleased with how it turned out. It’s mister Space Dad himself, Bill Paxton as Fred Haise from Apollo 13
