Hey folks! Birdwatcher, that board game I illustrated and posted about nonstop during its kickstarter, is now up for preorder! If you missed the kickstarter, here’s your chance to get a copy for yourself - literally, if you like, as it includes a solo mode! Zakir, the developer, really thought of everything.

I have an early copy that we used during playtesting in the development period, and it’s super fun to play, with a variety of different modes and difficulty levels and tons of bonus cards you can use to change it up. Check it out!

King bird-of-paradise (Cicinnurus regius)

The king bird-of-paradise is a passerine bird of the Paradisaeidae (Bird-of-paradise) family. It is the sole member of the genus Cicinnurus. The king bird-of-paradise is distributed throughout lowland forests of New Guinea and nearby islands. The diet consists mainly of fruits and arthropods. An extraordinary courtship display is performed by the male with a series of tail swinging, fluffing of the white abdominal feathers that makes the bird look like a cottonball, and acrobatic movements of their elongated tail wires.

Bird of Paradise From Seed Check ✅!!! THEY ARE GROWING!

This is so exciting, but from personal experience, it is still too soon to scream victory! Seedlings are especially sensitive to anything. Too much of this, too little of that, if you miss to check on them one day, then you might lose them.

I’m manually watering them and placing them outside during the day, for them to get full sun. Then taking them back in to protect them from the cold and outsiders

If you haven’t watched them, I posted about 3 videos of the process back in November if I remember right. It took about 8 weeks for them to sprout. This is week 10.
