My small personal tribute to #Boston. First time running 7 minute mile since being a victim of a senseless crime earlier this year. For those who commit these unthinkable horrific acts, you lose. #BostonStrong #617

It’s been 3 weeks since we’ve reopened and it’s been so nice to see old and new customers alike, I’m not sure I realized how much I missed it. We’ve made it super safe to browse and shop: the space is a bit larger, max 4 customers at a time (masks on), gloves and sanitizer are provided, and everyone has thankfully been extra respectful . You are also welcome to order online for pick up (we have free 90 minute parking!) , or of course have your order shipped directly to your house. We offer free shipping above $150! . If you haven’t been in since last season, we brought in quite a few new items for gifts, self care , and for your home. . Shop hours are 12-5 Wed-Fri, 11-4 Sat and Sun, and by chance on Monday and Tuesday. Come check it out, online or in person, we’d love to hear from you! .
Turkish towels galore. Hard to believe the 4th is just a few days away. Grab one of those and head to the beach! ♂️⛱️ . . . #sowa #sowaboston #stitchandticklestudiostore #450harrison #southendboston #stitchandticklestudio #shoplocalboston #boston @sowaboston #southendboston #giftshop #lifestylestore #shopsmall

Oh.. I’ll be serving mimosas as well, just saying…
It’s always a sad day when my clients looses one of their dogs. I’ve had the honor to photograph Molly for over 5 years. Her family gave Molly the very best life and has done so much for so many furry family members. Because of these photos I’ve taken, Molly will always be top of mind and as the sadness of her passing fades, the memories of her life will fill each day. Our pets our are family. Treasure their memories.
Wrapping up my delicious trip with with excellent host, Bing took me to Flour Bakery, where I forced myself to eat a salad (albeit a TOTALLY DELICIOUS one with excellent ingredients), because I definitely neglected eating vegetables during the rest of the weekend. Also got a lamb sandwich for the bus ride back home. Quite frankly, I wish my stomach was a black hole because I wanted to eat EVERY SINGLE THING listed on that blackboard. :Q
The walk to South Station gave us this beautiful view of Boston downtown.
Thank you for the excellent food tour, @cherrylet. :D
Late as hell to posting this (Oh my god has it seriously been 4 months? It has.), but I still remember how full we were. Brunch was eating leftovers from the last two nights (reheated pasta & pizza: still incredibly delicious).
Then Bing introduced me to deliciously rich hot chocolateandthe best cupcakes I’ve ever had. I generally am not a huge fan of cupcakes because either the frosting is too much or the cake is too dry or both, but these were pretty damn good. Then we took a break at The Thinking Cup before we went off to Marliave for some oysters. OYSTERSSSS. :Q
The snow had stopped, but the walk was still freezing and slushy as we made our way to The Salty Pig. I really wanted to try their cocktails, but between brunch & beer, I wasn’t ready for food AND drinks. Both things we ordered were delicious.
Charcuterie plate: finocchiona, a dry cured garlic & fennel sausage from Zoe’s in CA; bjiou, a young goat cheese that’s soft enough to spread but not lose shape like brie.
The Salty Pig Pizza aka “today’s salty pig parts”, mustard, pale ale vinaigrette, and (unlisted in the menu) arugula. Never thought mustard on pizza would be good but it SO WAS. Paired perfectly with the salty pig parts. We had leftovers of this (and leftover pasta) for brunch the next day & it was still so good.
We couldn’t finish our alcohol, because we were still too full from brunch. We made our way over to the Museum of Science and watched a show at the planetarium. It was a little visit back into childhood! The sound staircase was cool, and so was the beehive looking display that was made just using polarizer filters and cellophane!
Bing and I both think that there should be a Super Nerdy Science Showing in the planetarium for adults not in the sciences but want to hear more in depth & science-y things. Also we want those planetarium seats in our homes because AHHHH SO COMFY.
