My first attempt at high protein waffles was a success! I tried Kodiak Cakes power cakes mix. I just bought an old school waffle maker… (the same kind my Dad used to make me waffles as a kid)! I followed the higher protein recipe on the back of the box, tweaking a little, using Silk Almond Nog as the milk. I also used egg whites instead of eggs and added a half a scoop of protein powder. Mixing the ingredients to make a nice batter, not too think and not too thin. My waffle craving is now satisfied and I don’t feel as if I cheated! I’m going to try a gluten free version of this tasty breakfast next… Stay tuned! I hope you all have a great Sunday!
